I agree with PTI today. It's hype, nothing more, nothing less. The fight will still go ahead on the same damn day it was scheduled to. There's far too much money invested in this thing

Why doesn't the Nevada State Athletic Commission step in and say to both camps "WHOA! WHOA! Wait a second! YOU don't decide the drug testing policy. This fight is in our jurisdiction, we license the fight to take place, therefore WE will decide the procedures." I didn't think drug testing was negotiable in boxing.

Manny has given Floyd a great way out of fighting him without being thought a coward. If I were Floyd, I'd take this as my cue to blame Manny and avoid losing.

Manny has given Floyd a great way out of fighting him without being thought a coward. If I were Floyd, I'd take this as my cue to blame Manny and avoid losing. Dude, Floyd ain't going to walk away from a 40 million dollar pay day. As for Manny beating him, well I'll believe it when I see it. Unless Floyd has lost a step defensively this fight will go a lot like his fight with Phillip N'dou. For those who may have never heard of N'dou, he is a lighting fast super hard puncher who at the time of his fight with Mayweather had a record of 31-1 with 30 KO's. Long story short You can't KO a guy if you can't hit him. Floyd is a smart fighter who has shown in the past that he has no problem taking out stronger harder hitting fighters, even if those fighter out throw him two or three to one. I don't know why people seem to think that Manny is going to waltz into the ring and KO one of the best defensive fighters ever. My prediction is that Floyd wins by UD or a late round TKO. However if Manny does win it will be because he out worked Floyd and won a UD, or SD. Either way at the end of the day Floyd will be 40 million dollars richer and just as pretty as he was when he got into the ring.

This fight is in our jurisdiction, we license the fight to take place, therefore WE will decide the procedures." I didn't think drug testing was negotiable in boxing. Oh no! We cant have legitimate drug testing in boxing! You guys are way off. Both fighters are required to take the Nevada state athletic commission drug test, before they compete. The problem is that state athletic commissions are cheap, and simple. The test they would take would be a simple pee test nothing more. Also depending on how long its been since their last fight in Nevada one or both of them may not be required to take a drug test at all. In big fights like this however there is too much money on the line to take chances so usually its up to the promoters to agree to bring in one of the big boy drug testing organization like the NFL, MLB, or Olympic drug testers. In essence the sate athletic commissions are already drug testing both pro and armature fighters. And it works well for 99.9% of the time. The problem comes when you start getting into big time stars who can afford the latest PEDs that a simple pee test can't catch. Thats why its more or less up to the promoters to make sure that proper drug testing is carried out.

So Mannys juicing, can we take that away from this? No not exactly. What Mayweather is doing is psychology 101, Mayweather and his crew aren't really worried about Manny using PEDs as much as they just want to get under his skin. One of the things that is well known about Manny is that he is very superstitious. And one of his biggest superstitions is that no vital or life giving fluid should leave his body in the days leading up to a fight. That includes blood semen what have you. He believes that losing blood even a small amount will make him weaker for the fight. Basically Manny has already said that he has no problem giving a blood sample a week before the fight and directly after the fight, he just doesn't want to give a blood sample in the days or in this case hours leading up to the fight. The problem is that the Olympic drug testing organization that Mayweather wants to test them will not alter their procedure to accommodate Manny. So in a nut shell Floyd is demanding that Manny take a drug test from a company that requires a blood sample the day of the fight and directly after the fight. Manny has no problem giving a sample a week before the fight, and right after the fight, he just wants to avoid giving one before the fight. The testing company told Manny's camp that they will not change the testing procedure. So in the end Floyd comes off looking legit Manny looks like the bad guy and Floyd gets that much deeper into Manny's head. Its really quite genius when you think about it.

So Mannys juicing, can we take that away from this? Sure, if you're the type of person who take accusations without proof as gospel.

The latest new is that Manny is threatening to sue Mayweather Sr., Mayweather Jr., Oscar, and Oscars company Golden Boy Promotions, for slander and libel.
LETS GET READY TO LITIGATE!

Manny stipulated the ring size, the type of gloves, the date (march 13th) and a $10 mil per pound fine over 147. Floyd wants drug testing at the highest level and hes wrong in any fashion? Take the test Manny.

Ugh, just work this out! Have them take the test right after the fight, whatever, but get it done!
I was really hoping we wouldn't have any head games going into this fight (and, make no mistake, the fight WILL happen), just one-on-one straight up, no strings, no drama besides the fight itself. Ugh.

This is stupid as hell. It should be done by the state's Boxing Commissions standards. I'm guessing it's Nevada, right? I mean they are the ones that sanction the fight, so shouldn't they be the ones setting the rules for this?

Maybe it's me but, with all the crap Pacquaio has asked for, combine with throwing one of the biggest bitch outs I have ever seen on this drug testing, he's afraid to face Mayweather. I know there will probably be a 5 paragraph response coming about how he isn't but, as a casual fan, he looks bad, IMO.
