Yeah, just about every ECW Champion after Taz (including Mike Awesome) just came off as Heyman throwing mid-carders against the wall and seeing who stuck. Sadly none did.

Sid. The guy was pushed over and over again only for him to blow it every time. How many chances does a guy get?

Jeff Hardy, he was a bump machine but that is all he ever was. I think the real reason Jeff finally made it to the top wasn't because of his insane bumps. I think it was because the fans wanted it so bad for him. It was like Jeff was never suppose to be the top guy and it just killed the fans that he wasn't being given that shot. Now when he won the belt, the people were loving it. I think the title reign didn't do Jeff many favors, but I get why he was on top for a while. But the only reason that I can see that the fans would want it for him was because of the insane bumps. I never saw him offer anything else which is why I could never buy him as a Main Eventer. The bumps were the only thing he did that was above average IMO.

Sgt. Slaughter in his Iraqi-run. He was old, out-of-shape, and retired for a few years. All he could do was punch, ax-handle to the back, noogie, and Camel Clutch. Oh, and throw fire once in awhile. Being a fan of his from his AWA days, I couldn't see him as the top-heel in the company portrayed in this manner. Never fit for me. He had to be the worst and most unprepared WWF/E champion right after Sheamus(at least Slaughter was a veteran at the time). The gimmick should've been kept to a midcard capacity. He did get major heat for it though. Absolutely this.He somehow sucked all the momentum right out of what was a great Survivor Series. First,he comes out and cuts what I swear is the slowest promo of all time, all while that annoying sad excuse for a theme keeps playing ad infinitum. Then in the match, his entire team(which contained much more able bodied wrestlers)was jobbed out in seconds flat and then he beats every one of Tito's teamates himself, all while looking terrible. He's in the ring for like 10 goddamn minutes and he's already blown himself up.Poor Tito, being the great seller he is does his damndest to make him look good, and even he can't do it. I felt so bad for Tito at the end of the night because he worked his ass off trying to make an old fart that nobody cared about anymore(the only reason he got any heat to begin with was because he got a golden oppurtunity to exploit real life news),and then he gets eliminated in seconds in the final match just to make the two egos look good.I really hope he got a giant paycheck after all that.

Jeff Hardy - I simply never bought him as WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Rey Mysterio - The fact that he had to get destroyed during his reign didn't help Christian - Like others, he just scream "MID-CARD" for me The Great Khali - No explanation needed

Jarrett- boring, and more idiotic catchphrases than you can count. Steiner- Tantrum throwing does not a title holder make. Booker in WWE-they made him too cowardly.

The Great Kahli. Simple as that.
The guy couldn't sell a single move even if his life depended on it.

I mean, what is the goal of wrestling? To elicit a big enough reaction to get Joe Sixpack to spend his hard earned cash on a ticket and a t-shirt. Regardless of what got Jeff those reactions, he got them.

He did get the reactions and I guess deserved the spot because of that, but i could never buy into it. For me bump machines are fine in the midcard but I want something more from a main eventer.
