My post from the Oscars thread:

I've been a complete Oscar whore since the age of 12 (I'm 24 now), and thanks to the "Meet the Oscars" exhibit in New York (and also touring in Chicago), I GOT TO HOLD ONE. It's the statue that will be presented to the best actress winner. Needless to say, the only thing I've ever wanted, the only dream I've ever had, the one thing that I could pretty much die the next day and be fulfilled if I've accomplished it, is to win an Academy Award. I nearly fainted. I seriously nearly died.





And to think, I never would have even known about this Meet the Oscars event if I hadn't friended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Facebook.

So I got one of those oversized rubber balls from walgreens and eventually I opened it up to get the light up ball that was inside and well it kinda was useless so I decided to see how far it could stretch and got it on my head and I was like wow this maybe could pass as hair If I spray paint this totally black it could look like I have hair and braids again so im totally thinking about doing it

A bit heavy for what you might expect going to pick it up. He's eight and a half pounds, and I didn't really remember how that felt. Basically, it's like holding a fat, gold newborn.
