Oh my god, Trish/Mickie was glorious, and in terms of Divas at WrestleMania, will probably never be topped the way the company is going.

This Wrestlemania was a mixed bag for me. It was a combination of matches over-delivering (Edge/Foley, HBK/Vince) and under-delivering (Cena/HHH, Rey/Angle/Orton). But overall for some reason the show just left me unimpressed. It sits in the middle, not a terrible Wrestlemania, but not a particularly memorable one to me.

Wow a Divas Match at Wrestlemania I was actually looking forward too (OK so the triple threat at XIX was good too).
Loved this Wrestlemania, Cena vs. HHH really felt like a top level match at the time, the atmosphere for that match was incredible even though the match wasn't that good. The triple threat is pretty good for the 9 minutes it got. The Edge Foley match was my favourite at the time and the finish was amazing.
MITB is good as always although this is probably my least favourite of the matches. And who can forget the skit with Booker and the oddities? Better than the actual match!

This definitely isn't my favorite WrestleMania. I thought Triple H vs. Cena was meh. I thought JR and King's commentary was sad, but I guess they had to do something. Triple H/Cena from NoC 2008 was much much better.
I didn't buy into Rey's title win either.
Angle vs. Taker and Rey vs. Orton does sound a whole lot better than what we ended up getting.
Edge/Foley was an okay Hardcore match, I guess. Not a bad match, just kind of "there". Edge spearing Foley through the flaming table was a really cool spot.
Well, if I had to say some positive things about this PPV, it's that I thought Shawn vs. Vince was a good brawl and a lot of fun to watch. And Mickie/Trish is kind of like Brock/Goldberg in that it's a must see for the crowd reaction alone. So I'd say check out Shawn/Vince and Mickie/Trish, if you're a fan of Mickie. Skip the rest.
Oh, and I think the difference between the four matches you listed is this: in a Hardcore match, pinfalls count anywhere and anything is allowed, in a No Holds Barred match, anything is allowed but pinfalls only count inside the ring, plus I think NHB is more about brawling and less weapon usage. In a street fight, pinfalls only count in the ring, but you see more emphasis on weapon usage and the wrestlers usually stay around the ringside area and don't go anywhere in the buildiing like a Hardcore match. And Extreme Rules is just a regular match with a few weapons involved--kind of like a watered down street fight.
Once again, good review, my man.

Either you have a WWE job waiting for you for your ability to explain things that are otherwise irrational, or you'll be hired because you're too smart to work there. Wait till I throw in "Belfast Brawl" from XXIV, THEN we'll see how you do!

Trish/Mickie - Proof that the WWE, despite their best efforts, CAN book a great angle involving Divas.
HBK/Vince - He's the HBK and he's AAAAAAAAAAWESOOOOOOOME! I love this match, pure unadulterated violence. The crotch chop on the ladder invoked serious mark-outage, I loved how he was on a ladder, decided it wasnt big enough and got a ladder straight from JeffHardyCorp. HBK is Mr Wrestlemania for a reason.
HHH/Cena. Decent match, proves Cena can be in good matches when he has a top guy with him, and he is more than capable of carrying his weight. Probably the only time HHH lost at Mania, where Id rather he hadn't.
MITB. Ive marked for ladder matches ever since two of my favourite guys fought at WM X, so these always get a free pass from me.
Edge/Foley. I loved it, Edge shivering at the end just sold how he had to go to hell and back just to put Foley down.
Angle/Orton/Rey. Despite being too short, full of great spots, and seeing Rey do the real West Coast Pop with the hurricanrana was cool as hell.
All in all, this is one of my favourite Manias.
EDIT: I'd just like to mention also that this is one of my favourite lines from any sports/wrestling report ever.
"Just to add a little bit of life to the match, Undertaker hits his super dive onto Henry. If this match was a conveyer belt at a pickle factory, you saw about 200 mundane jars of pickles before getting one with a bag of really awesome fireworks in it. That’ll catch your eye everytime."

These kind of tongue in cheek reports are either really funny or they reek of "trying too hard", when you come up with something like that out of left field it is totally awesome. And btw I had no idea Mickie did the finger thing. Ive never seen that before.

It's never been one of my favourite Manias. While there isn't much on the card that outright sucks, aside from Edge/Foley I just couldn't really get into anything.

The Tony Condello reference pretty much made my day. Good job sir I thought of him the other day when I was applying Icy Hot after my shower, which makes me a bigger mark than I lead on. If you don't know, read Edge's book.

The Tony Condello reference pretty much made my day. Good job sir he topped it couple paragraphs down with this jewel... "After Mickie dominates (and nearly drives all of Chicago to a flood-creating smarkgasm), Trish takes over and manages a headscissors. The crowd boos. How could WWE surprised? When you have a crazed lesbian in a revealing top and loose skirt, she could be fighting a 10 year old with leukemia and that kid is going to be the villain, whether his sickly bloodstream likes it or not." highlight of my day right there. that is hilarious.

oh my...i'd forgotten about this particular piece of in ring psychological excellence...
"-Trish attempts Stratusfaction, and then, we get my favorite part in wrestling history as Mickie grabs—wait, what the Hell? Why did they edit that off the DVD? Hang on.
-(At this point in the story, Justin drove to his brother Josh’s house, since he has the original tape of the event. Justin knocked on his door at 8:45 at night, uninvited, with his foot. Josh answered and Justin, perfectionist that he is, bloodcurdlingly screamed for Josh to put in his copy so that they could watch a mere 15 second clip. Josh was unamused, but did as he was told. Finally, after rewatching the clip 57 times to make sure they understood the relevance, Justin thanked his brother and drove home.)
-So yeah, Mickie grabs Trish’s nether regions to break the hold, and then licks her fingers in a V-shape to indicate something naughty. God, these cushions are sticky…."

22 is the best WM of the 20's. Great show that was helped by the fact that it happened right in the middle of WWEs best run since 2002. I say it all the time on here, but Jan 06 to ONS II was a really good time in the WWE. Lots of good stuff going on, and the ratings (which were consistently in the 4's) showed it...
