Beat me to it, Kurt Cobain used a line from the Neil Young song "Hey Hey, My My" in his suicide note. Also to add to the fun trivia tidbit, Pearl Jam played SNL shortly after Kurt's death, and added the first verse of the song into one of their own to give a lil shout out to Kurt. On another note, everyone crying about the bit.. whether it be because it was dumb, or "insensitive" (i honestly doubt anyone was thinking of the Oklahoma City bombing when the skit was being made), or the "how the hell are they gonna explain this?".... It's a flipping Macgruber skit... that's the whole basis of the character, get over yourselves. Has no place on a wrestling show. |

The best thing about it was that you could clearly see him running off-stage as the explosion happened.
But yeah, that whole segment was brutal. Doesn't help that I've never seen a MacGruber skit before, perhaps.

The best thing about it was that you could clearly see him running off-stage as the explosion happened. But yeah, that whole segment was brutal. Doesn't help that I've never seen a MacGruber skit before, perhaps. Much like you saw on RAW and most modern day SNL even the skits aren't funny. |

I can't believe it took til page four for someone to point out that the camera clearly picked up on him running off stage! For shame! We're usually such nit-pickers!
I actually found it funny. I've never seen Macgruber before, but I actually thought the two of them were good guest hosts. Completely lame humour, but it worked for me.

Still, you can see R-Truth running back... although you have to wonder if those were the shoes he actually wore prior to the "explosion". |

actually i was waiting for HHH to come out at the beginning of the show and say something along the lines of "recent footage has revealed the cause of the volcanic eruptions. roll the tape."
<cut to Macgruber, whatshername and some evil scientist in some underground lair>
Macgruber: Don't worry all i have to do is press this button to relieve the pressure underneathe the volcano and it won;t explode.

It made me laugh. I liked the smoking shoes, but felt it needed to commentary team to put it over more. When it happened to Khali later on, I actually laughed out loud. Random crap like that is why I like wrestling, it doesnt take itself seriously. Unlike some people........  |

He should just randomly appear in the back on Smackdown this week. Throughout the whole night, everybody does a double take and is confused to see R-Truth. Finally, Teddy Long approaches him:
