well, that sounds good. now if only bogut and redd can last the WHOLE DAMN SEASON WITHOUT GETTING HURT we should do well. but that won't happen, of course. Bogut was more of a freak accident though. Just landed badly on his elbow. It was pretty bad (worst arm injury IMO, worst injury overall still goes to Livingston), but he doesn't have a history of injuries that I can think of. As for Redd...yeah, good luck with that. bogut got hurt bad a couple of other times too, but for the life of me i can't remember them off the top of my head. as for redd, he's a good player, but he seems to be horrifically injury prone.

You know what? LeBron going to the Heat not withstanding, after the fallout and other teams picking up the pieces, are the Bulls in the best position out of the rest of the teams that were in the James race?

Simmons said it best: Doing that to Cleveland via live primetime tv was a giant eff you. That's the thing. It's a free country, he can sign wherever he wants to, but to spurn Cleveland in such a public way is brutal. I agree. I'm guessing Miami's ownership knew before the announcement, but did Cleveland know? If they didn't then this is one of the most classless things that I have ever heard, and it is completely and utterly disrespectful. I do think that this special is going to open the floodgates for every egomaniacal athlete who feel that they need to have their announcements on live TV. It sets a dangerous precedent.

Cleveland didn't know. Dan Gilbert didn't get a call from Lebron or his team.

He only told Miami minutes, if that long, before he started the interview. Nobody else had a clue.

That is the underrated aspect of this whole farce. ESPN just took the age of sensationalism and turned it up even further

He won't surpass Modell, but doing this on a nationally televised show that he orchestrated is the worst thing he could have done. Show some class you moron. It would have pissed me off anyway but to do this in this manner is despicable. What a lowlife move. He just alienated the entire state of Ohio. His decision to ride Wade's coat tails mystifies me even more. If he wins it is only because of Wade. If he doesn't win it is because of Lebron since Wade already has a title. I really hope this move blows up in his face.
BTW I honestly don't know how he will ever step foot in Cleveland again. I won't be surprised if he is "injured" and doesn't make the trip when the Heat roll into town next time.

David Lee is a very solid player. Not a superstar per se, but he gives you solid minutes, and can score when he needs to. As for the other three, they're pretty average but azabuke has an opportunity to get better

Randolph has huge potential. Sort of a Lamar Odom skillset. Azubuike is a good bench guy, sixth man or spot starter @ SF. Can shoot the 3. Turiaf is a good shot blocker.

I'm guessing there might be a riot tonight? I really can't blame them. lebron never cared about the cavs fans at all: i should note, of course, that not all players are like lebron but.... If it was about the money, he would've stayed in Cleveland. The Cavs could've paid him more than any other team in the James Race thanks to the Larry Bird Clause/Rule. He did it for a championship, simple as that. I can assure you he will get a title out of this, but it won't be till the later parts of the deal.

I think the WORLD will be rooting against Miami. Unfortunatly for them theres only one ball, D-Wade and LeBron on their own are easy 30 PPG players, I dont see how that works when one needs to play the second fiddle to the other. Dont get me wrong, they clinched a top 3 playoff spot for the next half deacde barring injuries and will more often than not be fun to watch.. but it's a three man team with what $70mil split between them per season? Ouch, it'll be tough putting together a team of guys not named GUCHOSTAVINSKYTROY with that kind of money spent.
All that aside Miami may have 3 of the top 10 players in the league on their team and thats a force anyway you cut it, but the way Lebron QUIT in the playoffs last year makers me think he may not have the Kobe killer instinct... I think Wade has it but this could be interesting.
Anyway the NBA is a rigged league top to bottom.. Franchise players opt to play with their buddies or in a town that'll showcase them and earn them more endorsement dollars. The NBA knows that and the refs are paid to make sure calls go the way of the best players, period ALWAYS. As a Celtics fan the NBA finals were tortuours, not because the Celtics lost but because the calls by the refs was so disgustingly inconsistent it reminded me of playing NBA JAM with the Close Game cheat code on
