Unfortunately I'm not sure how much this will help in the recession, but it's been something I've been wanting to do with a while now. Since this section of the forum is mostly about the Co-Fruitcakes (as I call them, with regards to Mr. Demento) and their long running radio progrem, I thought it would be the right place to recruit, particularly if you too want to be mentioned highly by RD and Blade on air and be a great source of information for 12 particular people. If you'll recall (or not) the site was first made by Farmer Iggy/Peter Dragon (who first made it as wrestlecrap.blogspot.com) around mid 2008, and I stumbled upon helping write episode summaries a few months later in October. For much of last year we were the two main people running the site, although we did have (and still do have) help; the fine Crapper WrightFan comes to mind (at least from his email address Wrightfan@mac.com ). Iggy was the mechanical and practical guy maintaining the site, while I was the more artistic and laid-back foil and sidekick writing all of what transpired. Jim Ross' random calls, the way that Sir Alec would always appear just when you needed him, the expected cliche happenings that went on in 'storylines' and the wrestling 'news' such as it existed - I wrote on all of that, and willingly too! It's not like some mad scientist launched me into space to make me watch bad movies all the time or something. Oh well. Around the end of last year though Iggy decided to move on, feeling that the site would work better in other hands. I decided to stay, partially because I like doing what I do but also because I have yet to try and search for others with the same drive and zeal and agreements as I. With the New Year though, I felt that enough was enough (I have had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane). Thus I am looking for new fellow Co-Historians for the site, as well as any others who may want to help out and write. I at least need a new and active (and interested!) Webmaster, and I wouldn't mind additional writer support too as long as it fits into the site. Don't worry, you don't have to write in the same negative snark as me if you want. Depending on interested turnout (or not), I may even hold a competition. Don't worry, it won't last as long as the Co-Hosss contest. At least, I hope not. If you're interested or at least have questions, feel free to respond. I'll be mostly inactive all day Friday both with things on my agenda and listening to the new show if applicable, so when I return hopefully I'll take stock of the situation. Until then, then!

Sorry I haven't worked on the site. Just have had way too much to deal with lately.
Feel free to give my spot to another who will work on it more frequently.

In the past I had an interest in writing transcripts (I made a topic a long time ago about it, but... I really got busy and didn't have the time to spend 2-3 hours listening to one of the short first episodes).
I don't know what I'd write about for the site, and I don't know how to webmaster, so... perhaps this is just a vote of confidence saying help Blah out!

I wouldn't mind helping out with writing... despite about 90% of my posts here not including any text.
And I suppose I could even give the whole 'webmaster' thing a try, since I've got the time nowadays to at least figure out how to do it.

I definately could write for the site, I don't know if I'd be any good at transcribing though. I'm not exactly sure what would fit in to the site feel but I'm at least intrested to hear your thoughts on the feel of the site PB

This sounds interesting (and fun).
I have some experience doing fansite wiki stuff, but the opportunity to add in some of my own commentary rather than just reporting the facts is intriguing.
And for what it's worth, I'm going to school for librarian/archival stuff, so this could be have some practical experience potential for me. . . or just a fun way to pass the time. Either way is good for me.

Nah, you're alright Ani. Any small help is still good help to the site as a whole. You'd still be an honorary WCR Historian in my eyes. I can take all the votes I can get. You help out also too with your fine videos. Let's not forget that. You could be our resident lawyer I suppose. I'll think on that. That interplay is always something I enjoyed with Iggy, he would sometimes write on my stuff as I wrote on his, the back and forth was and is always fun to read. Interactivity! That's the stuff. Give me till Saturday though, I just returned from a day long trip to my hometown and am back in good O Canada. I'll have an idea of what to contest about it then.

Alright, I think I have some better idea generally of who I want to, ah, catch more or less.
I need a person who can do two things (non-sexually I'm afraid). The first is webmastering the pages, ensuring all is up to date and ensuring things work as properly as they do, as well as making the HTML work as it should in the articles themselves. To gauge that I shall ask two questions. Send to me by private message if you want. 1: The coding required to place an image carefully beside the text (like it has been seen a few times in earlier recaps on the site) without messing things up too much. 2: The coding for placing the Paypal link for WrestleCrap, what with them needing donations and all.
The second thing is (in my opinion) more important, and makes me feel like I'm on e-harmony or something looking for a soul mate. I am looking for a webmaster person person who can perfectly interact with myself. You don't have to be snarky or as 'mean' I suppose as Iggy was during his incarnation, but be at least engaging, clever and witty and be fun to get along with. Online, anyway. I don't want someone following my own initiative all the time, heaven knows I'm no good at running a site, but I'd like them to feel at home writing as I do. If you wanted you could write your own things about what you feel of wrestling and the radio progrem in particular, write and add things on what I have written based on what you might feel, and help show things to readers and myself that I may not have seen or found. Thus! 3. If you'd like, I'd like a written piece on something you'd want to write about wrestling (which may include what you may like and dislike about something about wrestling or even something about WC and WCR in particular) AND/OR your own attempt at writing your own recap of a WCR episode to step in my shoes as it were. If it's really good I might also try and have it up on the site also. (I'm thinking of doing some sort of Year In Reviews things for the site as well. Not sure how I'd go at it though.) You may write it here or send it to me.
Thus! I'll give a week or two and see what I get, and then make my final decision. It's open to all, so do tell who you know and pass the word like a bad chain mail message. Good luck!

I helped children with learning difficulties make a website back when I worked at a school... and I vaguely remember how the HTML coding looked.
I'm a jam up guy. Serious professional. Fellow crapper of the highest magnitude. All that other stuff.
Pick me, and there's the possibility that you're going to have a hell of a wictory. I promise.

You forgot the possibility that PB might find out what the Germans are about. I need to get back into writing. All my streams of conciousness are on my blog in my sig there. But NTB might be a good webmaster and I'll just add thoughts when I can, even if he (Allegedly.....by me) doubts El Dandy

I will work for free! I know I haven't kept up with it lately, but can I have dibs on the Haiku section? I can certainly credit you for keeping track of the Haiku that Iggy and later I would pick up on. That part is part of the episode though, and something I happily do, even if it's often hard to pick out what exactly Blade is saying.

Humph, it's two weeks already? I can't keep track. Anyway. Looking over all this, Tom Bosley says he most likely has the webmastering chops, Frank In Cleveland has the idea to maybe write somethings, Erik Majorwitz probably has dibs on the haiku among other things, and Clarence "Showstealer" Mason was the only one who followed what I wanted and wrote something about WCR. (Ah, the keenness of being a lawyer.) Thus, I've made up my mind and I've decided to hire all four of you. Ah, congratulations are in order. If you still want to help out, PM me with your email addresses, that way I can send the invites to join the blog on Blogger.com, and have a way to reach you to ah, discuss the endeavors of WCR.com. To sum up:
