Orton + Legacy: Boring feuds and two glorified jobbers. Awesome.
TLC + Slammies: Two days of pure wrestlecrap, from "We can't have blood on our PPV!" to Cena giving Sheamus the weakest rub ever, then Sheamus getting 3 minutes and Cena squashing Punk, to DX getting the belts from Jeri-Show, then crapping on them, to all the rest, this was the two days that summed up how bad WWE has been this year.
Hornswoggle. Just Hornswoggle.

The tough part we inevitably run into here is people basically saying "I didn't like this booking decision, so nominate it for the Gooker!", which isn't really the spirit of the award.
Still, there are plenty of candidates. Interesting seeing some people saying "nominate Raw as a whole" (what a monster write up THAT would be), though, going by what I've read, Hornswoggle vs. Chavo takes the cake, considering how it's never ended and has done absolutely nothing for everybody involved.
Since I watch MUCH more TNA than WWE, I can whole heartedly get behind the Morasca vs. Sharmell match being nominated. The only good thing you could say about it was that it was short, which I suppose gives it a very slight edge over stuff like Hornswoggle, since the pain was brief.
TNA's been relatively strong this year compared to previous years, but that match does stand out, in a very bad way.
Raw sounds like it may have more "traditional" Gooker candidates, though, since it ranges from funny-bad (some of the guest host stuff) to painful-bad (neverending Hornswoggle).

Hornswoggle.
No, not his feud with DX or Chavo.
His oversized midget ass in our face every week as he climbs for the Tad Pole Splash.

Truth be told, nothing this year has really felt truly horrible enough to be a Gooker winner.
The Miss WrestleMania battle royal is a good choice for being inducted someday from this year, but it's not really the kind of thing to remember the year for. From there...
Hm.
How about the Triple H / Orton feud? It certainly had enough wallbangers and idiotic decisions. Orton getting his ass kicked multiple times by Shane! Trips breaking into Orton's house! What some people consider the worst Mania main event ever! Orton tapping... and winning! Orton winning the title from Batista, but not getting the belt because Trips decided not to let him! If anything this year deserves the award, it's that feud.
As far as the Chavo / Hornswoggle stuff, while it will probably win I really don't think it should. I was mostly restrained to comedy bits that only took up three or four minutes a piece that would've alternatively gone toward a squash match or a DX promo or something. Besides that, the crowd was definitely into it.
And the guest hosts? Shouldn't even be nominated. Half the time they're good, plus it's still an ongoing angle.

Nothing mentioned so far sounds really Gooker worthy on its own, but link Kid Rock, miss Wrestlemania, Santina together & that has got to be it (could even use the hogpen match to sedgeway into Vicki's efforts and/or Chavo then Hornswoggle who in turn then had his moments with DX).

Since the apologists are coming out for this one, and I love a good debate as much as the next guy... Chavo vs. Hornswoggle, far and away, is my foremost nomination for Gooker. I'm all for giving the kids something to cheer for and laugh at. I got into pro wrestling when I was 11, and I remember the different kind of appeal it had then - I knew there was no way this could all be real, mind, but it felt like there was something to enjoy. But at the same time, it's historically been very easy for me, at any age, to identify what in pro wrestling is being designed to target kids. Now, lots of posters around here say "What's the harm? Kids need something to enjoy in the show." Well, for what it's worth, as a kid, I enjoyed pro wrestling because it gave me cool matches with performers who made me care about their characters...but sure. I read you. I smell what you're cookin'. I'm not one of those fans who insists that everything in my primarily male soap opera with bodyslams and chairshots be gritty and gripjawed. I giggle a lot at pro wrestling, and not always mockingly. I don't mind something that kids can giggle at, too. But just because you design something with a specific audience in mind does not mean it should alienate people outside of that audience. There is such a thing as accessible appeal. I saw episodes of The Simpsons at 14 that made me laugh my ass off, and at 24, not only do I still laugh at all the old jokes, but I notice others that have me downright shaking with laughter which escaped me as a kid. Same with Calvin and Hobbes. I'll probably always laugh at Calvin and Hobbes, regardless of what age I am; Watterson put together a strip that can make grandparents laugh as hard as their grandchildren. Chavo/Hornswoggle, well...hm. Dickish but talented heel who's done nothing of note in years getting repeatedly humiliated by a leprechaun with the apparent mentality and mannerisms of a ten-year-old, with every one of their Russonian gimmick matches featuring that nightmarish Irish festival music joined in diabolical matrimony to the squawking laughter of Michael Cole. As they say, worth a thousand words. The more I think about it, and the more I remember what I actually laughed at as a kid, the more I wonder if it's the kind of thing I'd have really found laugh-out-loud funny back then. Chances are my reaction would be the same then as it is now: mild amusement the first time around, but afterward, pronounced impatience for Something Cool To Happen, and maybe a guilty smile at my dad if he happened to be checking out what I was watching. In fact, as someone who regularly swapped between Raw and Nitro as a kid/teenager whenever something dull or uninteresting was going on in one show, this is the kind of thing that would have made me change the channel or mute the television in 1996 as easily as I do it in 2009. Assuming I wasn't stuck in the crowd, mind...and even then, maybe I'd decide that soda from the start of the show was catching up to me. Now, just to soothe the apologists before they start scoffing and sneering - relax. I'm not hating on the angle. Really, I'm of the mind that the best Gooker is the one that is so bad you just have to laugh at it, whether the laugh is sad and pained or giddy and incredulous. In my case, I gave Chavo/Hornswoggle both kinds of laughs. Yeah, it's kind of sad to see a guy who was a regular Smackdown workhorse being stripped, destroyed, and pinned by a midget...but then I sit back and think about the interminable absurdity of the angle itself, and there's no stopping the grin from reaching my face. I can only say that of so many other choices this year. So yes, with that reaction in mind, give it the Gooker. We will remember, and we will groan - but we will also laugh. Besides, the induction wouldn't be all scorn and snark. It gave us that rare instance in pro wrestling of a male wrestler actually being stripped to his skivvies. Progressive!

- Anything with Hornwoggle
- The Whole Denver debacle and Vince's response on Raw (but the Lakers/Nuggets Series was good)
- Santina Marella
- HHH breaking in Orton's house and some random ppl running in (and the aftermath)
- Dolph Ziggler and Maria as a couple: Was this ever happen before? A heel and a face being a couple?
- The Cena/Orton fued Part 3

12/14 CZW in general
One people seem to have forgotten but was fairly stupid: It was in HHH vs. Cody Rhodes. Ted DiBiase jumped onto the apron and Triple H acted like he was going to hit him. Then, Michael Cole screams out "Don't hit him! Triple H can't hit DiBiase or it'll result in a Disqualification!" Normally, I'd chalk that up to Cole's own ineptness, but by the way Triple H was acting, not hiting DiBiase and looking conflicted as to whether he should, it appeared that he was in on the idiocy. If Triple H struck someone that wasn't a participant in the match, Triple H himself would've been DQ'd. Not if DiBiase hit HHH, Rhodes would be DQ'd; but if HHH hit DiBiase, whom, I repeat, is not in the match, HHH would be DQ'd. And if that's not insane enough, Triple H later claimed that a dog dies after it loses its tail.
That has little chance of winning, but it shouldn't be forgotten.

I have to agree with some statements, where it's just disliking booking.
With Piggie James, people hate it because they love Mickie so much and don't think she's fat. I think if this gets the nod, Blade will probably not be too pleased, lol.
And like, people think x feud was boring, therefore it should get the Gooker. Like, I didn't like how DX won the belts. Well, how much material does one believe is going to be written about that.
Legacy. They were beaten mercilessly in handicap matches. Well, ok, that's just retarded booking.
A midget beating a wrestler. Not really that crappy. But, a midget dressed as a cowboy, beating a wrestling dressed as a cow, and beating this wrestler multiple weeks in a row, making the whole angle out to be a Looney Toons cartoon. That's a bit different.
A wrestler in drag. Yeah, that's bad. But, having to use a really long Kid Rock performance to hide said wrestler, not recognizing any other returning divas, and mindlessly dumb skits for weeks on end. That's a bit different.
There were tons of bad matches this year. Should we nominate all of them? Or should we nominate the one where the chick in it was so inept, that she couldn't even run in a straight line.
Somethings just seemed to go onto long, and I think some of those feuds were disliked. I'm thinking on retracting my Cody Deaner nomination, because I really like the Cody Deaner character, he was just put in a bad angle. Cena vs Orton was long, but it didn't last a good year and a half, and Cena didn't compete in a bikini contest against Orton's wife.

Wrestlemania 25 people (non-Kid Rock), look up a Super Bowl XXV program (wide right!). It was being pushed as the "Silver Anniversary" by none other than the NFL.

Hornswoggle in 2009 might do it.
However, a double entry of Chavo vs Hornswoggle and DX vs Hornswoggle might be a good idea as well
