This smells like the "South Park" episode where Officer Barbrady was trying to learn how to read but during the whole episode we get near misses of Kenny actually dying. Until the ending credits where Kenny gets squashed by a tree.
Mike Check will die after the Haiku during the ending song being played. At that last note. He'll die a horrible death.
