Truly the Bossman's finest hour. How anyone could come away from this ridiculous angle not absolutely loving that guy is beyond me.

I remember hating this feud at the time, but looking back, it rocked.

I knew Bossman was gonna get squashed, but at the time, i was so marking for him in this angle.

Bossman was an awesome heel. I also loved that mic thing with Mankind where Mankind said he was throwing up after riding the tiny Scooby coaster, and Bossman didn't deny it but said how he just had a stomach ache.

Bossman was such a great heel when he came back to the wwf. Shame the guy died so young

1999 was probably Bossman's best year in the 'E even with the Pepper steak storyline/Dog Kennel From Hell Match.

This was a terrible run, but there's a perverse pleasure in watching it. It's pure camp.

I was always kind of disappointed in Bossman's return to the WWF. I would've booked him quite differently. I'd have given him a gimmick where he was disgusted with the "Attitude" era and wanted to return wrestling to the simpler, clear-cut morality days. He would do this by hand-cuffing and brutally beating anyone who acted in an inappropriate way.

It's funny, but . . .
With feelings of regret And Tears that are soaked I finally heard your dad finally croaked.
He lived his life under his own terms And soon he'll be buried and eaten by worms.
*I lost my old man about 4 1/2 years ago now, but that still has to be the funniest thing Boss Man ever said. The surfboard casket angle and the 'b-st-rd' angle to try to keep heat on the feud was garbage though.

Wait... his father isn't Andre? Well Andre was his father, but you see that was when he was SUPERHUMAN with the powers of being able to fall off of COBO HALL and return to beat Hogan for the title. Once he became human, he was given a mortal father. Kind of like Superman . . . when he was adopted by the Kents.

But it would be an ironic angle, as Bossman, even in the "good old days," used to brutally assault people with a night-stick (even innocent jobbers). In hindsight, he was sadistic even as a face.

Here's something to think about:
Let's say Nailz hadn't burned his bridge with McMahon, and they brought him back sometime in early 2000, same character, same voice, same prison jumpsuit, to confront the Bossman again. Bossman is now a despicable heel. So ... would Nailz be cheered? Would the reaction be, "Hey! You must have been telling the truth all along!"?

What always puzzled me about the Bossman was how he started off as a corrupt police officer and then when he became a face we were supposed to forget all that. I liked the original Bossman best. The face version just wasn't as good and the nineties version was darkened to an insane degree. I remember him even throwing implied cocaine (it was white powder in an evidence bag) into the Road Dogg's eyes.

HAHA I don't remember that, that sounds awsome.
I was always a bossman fan (I even have a Bossman cap back from the days when he was a face) but I think his nineties attitude era run as the evil swat team bossman was his best period.

I can't imagine Nailz in a prisoner gimmick ever getting cheered. I wasn't a big fan of Bossman in the attitude era, just preferred him as a face in the early nineties when he could have a short run as IC champ. And of course the Twin Towers were awesome.
