I don't hate disabled people. I was disabled from 3-15, I don't even hate Zach Gowen. I just don't like him.

The kid is handicapped. He's worked his @$$ off to be where he is today. We all saw him on TV why do we need to poke fun of him here. Theres no point, theres way more goofy gimmicks that I'd rather see inducted (Disco Infernos Duck, Eric Angle, Midejah), than an induction dedicated to making fun of some one who has over come alot of physical troubles in their lives.

Not to swing off topic but, Disco Inferno had a duck? Yah he did. I forgot what it was made of.. but he bring it to the ring. It was his "disco duck" and I think he actually used it as a weapon a few times... I think. |

Oh, now I get it. There was a novelty song in the 70's called "Disco Duck". They should have made Disco's catch phrase "What the Duck?"

Eric Angle was fine. No gimmick. Just one of those "Switch the guys that look similar" things. Eric Angle also used to nail Nidia from time to time, or so I've heard. By the way, I was at the ppv in Tampa where Kurt pulled that stunt on the Undertaker. I was totally fooled by the switch... but then again I was sitting like 3 rows from the ceiling of the St. Pete Times Forum. |

I never said Zakk Gowen was cool, what I was saying is its not cool to make fun of kids w/ disabilities.
On the other note, the Disco Duck would be an all time clasic.

It's true... Gowen is a jerk... he has problem that expand wayyyyy beyond his disabilities. Essentially, he can be seen as an asshole.

Gowen is a pompous ass who was never believable as a wrestler for the simple fact that he made Spike Dudley look like Gene Snitsky, and his sole gimmick was the fact that he only had one leg. He was terribly limited due to his disability, he couldn't run the ropes, and he discredited every wrestler he ever faced. Zack Gowen was like the black knight from Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail. Watching him fight with one leg was more comic relief than suspenseful action.
On top of that, he was an arrogant prick backstage, who thought he was big s*** since he was in the WWE. You know who else was in the WWE? Nicole Bass.
I give the kid credit for overcoming many hardships in life, but a lot of people overcome greater problems than his. Just don't milk it. I'm all for equal opportunities, but I don't want to ride in a taxi with a blind driver, I don't want to watch a one-armed man box, and I don't want to watch a one-legged kid wrestle.

I'll probably induct how WWE used (well, MISUSED) Zach. I think he's an incredible talent. Vince totally missed the boat with him. They could have done sooooo much with him, they had the chance and blew it. It was TOTALLY not Zach's fault. RD |
