Well, let me be the first to "hate him". I hated that Vince Russo era of WCW and anyone involved with a passion(which includes Arquette). Since we're discussing him, then so be it. Between he, Keanu Reeves Ashton Kutcher and/or Matt Damon, I can't decide who makes the worst god-awful movies! And just because you donate some money(one time) to some tragedy-stricken family does not make you ready for some sainthood in my opinion.

I have never been a fan of Arquette at all. I hated his AT&T commercials, I hated him in Ready to Rumble and I REALLY hated him in WCW. After learning about how he never wanted to do the angle in the first place and what he did with the money from it, I can forgive him for the WCW debacle. THe other things, however....

The guy did the angle because he was under contract. You can't say that about guys like Scott Steiner who complained about jobbing. Arquette did his angle. And while it was a major factor in the company going under, it isn't his fault. Russo booked and Arquette hated it. I give the guy credit for donating his money from WCW to the families of Pillman and Owen. That took class.

I bought (or my mom did for me) Ready to Rumble when it first came out on dvd and it was like 22 or so after tax.
I also went to see it at theatre 2 times. Got the soundtrack. A Ready to Rumble shirt.
Yeah, I was into it.

Ready To Rumble is one of the greatest movies ever, I really can't comprehend why anyone would hate it. It's delightfully hokey.

Honeslty Arquette is a great guy for doing what he did with the money, its not his fault in what got booked to do.
And plus, Ready to Rumble is CLASSIC! that exchange with Arquette and the store clerk at the beginning is the stuff of legends! and ending with: "Your messin with the Macho Man Randy Savage and im gonna getcha yeahhh!" and the BAM sounds he made when he threw punches! great stuff
