Hey RD, I know you often get questions reguarding what started off as wrestlecrap, but ended up great. (undertaker, doink, T.L Hopper)
But what do you think started off great but turned into wrestlecrap. (besides invasion angle, and bret hart's wcw run)
I'll say Kanyon for one, after getting rid of the whole goofy Mortis thing, he was really cool. Until he started hitting people with champagne bottles and doing Boy George impressions. I did like his DDP impression though. (Postively Kaynon.. lol, classic!)

I'd have to say The Invasion without a doubt.

I'd say by far the worst example of that is the nWo.
Started out as a great angle (albeit robbed from Japan). One of the major factors that put WCW ahead in the Monday Night Wars for all those weeks.
And what happens to it? nWo Wolf-Pac, nWo Hollywood, nWo this, nWo that, and with a list of members that even the bookers didn't bloody well know. And it continued for way too long, when everyone knew FULL WELL that all the original nWo members were well and truly WCW companymen. For those salaries, who the Hell WOULDN'T be?

nWo, definitely. For the reasons the above poster stated.

Kane. He started off a silent monster who destroyed everyone in his way then slowly started to degenerate (started talking, having feelings etc) before losing the mask and ending up in his present (not very good) incarnation.
