They will be made.
Three more movies would mean something like ONE BILLION (they would made $333 million each, easily) in revenue. No one can/will pass that up. Period.
According to IMDB:
Episode 1 = $922,379,000 Episode 2 = $648,200,000 Episode 3 = $158,449,700 (through the 22nd, US only) Episode 4 = $797,900,000 Epidose 5 = $533,800,000 Episode 6 = $572,700,000
For a total of = about 3.6 Billion Dollars.
Yea, they are gonna make 3 more.

its not Whoop whoop its Yub Yub!
Lucas won't do more..he never had the 9 episode idea..hell he never scripted ep 3 till the sets were built..the whole thing..essensially is Anakins rise and fall from grace (and briefly rising again in 6)..what is there left to tell?
and I think Lucas WOULD do the Thrawn ones as he worked with Zahn on em and developed em with the writer..plus they were the first books that were anywhere near canon..and are damn fine

After seeing it for the first time a few days ago, I must say it didn't live up to my expectations as much as I had hoped it would.
That doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie - it was. But I'm not so sure now that doing prequells were the way to go. I would have liked to see the sequels instead. But, I am not Lucas.
Nevertheless, I have always held the opinion that you cannot judge the entire series until you have seen all the movies, which is what a lot of Star Wars geeks were doing by pasting the first two movies. I always disagreed with their sentiments that the first two (TPM and AOTC) weren't up to snuff. The reality is, in order to tell the story of Darth Vader, you must tell the story of his conflict, and what causes that conflict, or else he ceases to be an interesting character. Watching him slay strewn Jedi across the galaxy after he dons the suit would have been counter-productive and boring to the entire series. We KNOW he's a badass. We should really spend time trying to discern why he is, and how his conflict plays out over a long period of time.
In that instance, I think Lucas did it right. It was crucial to explain Anakin's origins, training, and time as a Jedi, and really show how nearsighted and arrogant the Jedi really were.
And that was portrayed magnificently. From one's perception, Anakin really was held back by the council, and therefore very easy for Palpatine to use that knowledge to his advantage. For as powerful as the Jedi could be, they really had grown arrogant, and that was partly brought on by the confusion of training this boy who they thought was the chosen one.
They continued to place Anakin in situations where Palpatine would be able to control Anakin's destiny more easily. This was their most shortsighted mistake.
Think about it. It's almost like having a super genius in grade school; one who is capable of learning at a much more accelreated rate than the rest of the students, and one who is capable of surpassing anything the teacher can throw at them, and instead of realizing this greatness and pushing it ahead in the way it deserves to be, he is held back with the class simply for the purpose of equality, and with almost no regard to the special skills that the child posesses. In time, the child will grow resentful and care less about moving ahead because there is no reward for it. By the time the child is rewarded, the point becomes moot. Out of the series, one person, Palpatine, realized the boy's potential and IMO, truly did help Anakin realize what he was capable of doing. But he did so at the cost of order; for power, and for selfish reasons. Of course the student would not be able to see this for themselves. They're simply elated that someone is finally paying attention to their unique skills and taking the time to nuture those skills. It's basic psychology.
In short, I walked away from this flick feeling more sorry for Anakin than hatred or disgust for what he had become, and a small part of me felt that the Jedi had it coming to them. And now, when I watch the OT, I can see his conflict more clearly, and how his betrayal wasn't really a betrayal at all. The Jedi Order really screwed the galaxy good by sticking to their silly guidelines and not helping this kid realize his potential.
That's probably not the reaction that most had while watching the flick, but I think it's the emotion that makes the most sense when watching this as a series. For as evil as Vader is, and for as much as he was feared, he was more misunderstood than anything else, and used as a pawn in the quest for power because nobody took the time to truly nurture Anakin's special skills.
If you really want to know what I'm talking about, I suggest you watch the movies in this order:
ANH ESB TPM AOTC ROTS ROTJ
I think that by catching Anakin at his worst and at his best back to back, and while taking in the entire story at once, you'll see better where I'm coming from.
Anakin did bring balance to the force by eliminating the Jedi AND the Sith, and letting the force start over fresh with Luke. By the end of ROTJ, Luke really does have the will of the force on his side as a result.
Just my two (very long) cents.

thats the best opinion so far..eps 1 and 2 were part of a bigger picture..sur on their own they're..average at best but put with the others..well..it tells a full and complete story and most storys do start off slow..eps 1 and 2 are like LOTR's fellowship of the ring, not all that great on its own (compared to the others in the series)but is still important to the story
and thats a refreshing look at the prophesy..i like it

its not Whoop whoop its Yub Yub! A. I didn't say Whoop whoop, I said whup whup. So excuse me for getting some statement by those stupid things wrong. B. I don't really care, freaking Ewoks. As my Dark Lord of the Sith character would say Ewoks, it's what's for dinner. ( I play a Dark Lord of the Sith in the Star Wars RP. Long story but it's post ROTJ, and I'm the only one in the galaxy.) Except Lucas retconned himself and said only the movies are canon. Sure they are great books, as are The Jedi Academy Trilogy and many others, but that's neither here nor there. And remember if Lucas did do another set you'd be looking at another 10 years worth of work for him, as he wouldn't even start writing the script till he's done with Indy 4. That would place him in his 70's by the time he's done. Nope I stand by my belief that the most we'll see is the rumored television shows.

Darth Cajones would gladly add that little furball's lightsaber to his collection, before letting him become one with the force. lol

So did anyone see the rumors going around now that there is another prequel star wars movie being thrown around? Not a new trilogy, mind you, but a prequel to the prequels. It would involve Yoda as a young badass Jedi warrior (at the height of his power) taking on the Sith during The Great Sith War. I dunno, it sounds like a cool idea, but I wouldn't want to have to listen to Yoda's speech impediment for a whole movie. And, although it would be cool to see how powerful the Jedi really are when they are at the height of their power (as Yoda was considered to be the greatest and most powerful of the Jedi), I feel like that would be going too far back, and it wouldn't really feel like Star Wars, as all the characters except for Yoda would have to be new. On the other hand we'd get to see the backstory of the Sith unfold, and the seeds for Palpatine and his apprentices be planted. As I said though, this is just a rumor thats flying around now. With all the content in the Star Wars universe, though, you could make movies forever, which make sit easy to say that there's a new movie coming out about this part of the star wars universe. Its really easy to start up rumors. I doubt its true, because Lucas himself has said that he wants to focus on doing smaller art-type projects for his own personal amusement after he's finsihed with Revenge of the Sith and possibly a new Indiana Jones.

Here's a gripe about the movie...
She thought she was only having one kid.
Now with all the high tech space ships, and laser guns, and robots they had, don't you think she could've gotten a sonogram to let her know MONTHS in advance that there were two babies instead of just one?!
I mean, we do it in real life all the time.

OK..you see..Mantis was..a clone fetus (you know what i mean) on Kamino, Palptine was touring the "newfound" facility on Kamino and senses this particular clones power..knowng the Kamino would imply reject it n stuff he gets it transfered to his ship..and moved to another facility (he gets the cxlone BEFORE he advanced aging and other stuff is programmed into his genes )..
OK..he grows up slowly..trained from day one..not just in the ways of the sith..but also in general combat and tactics (to make full advantage of the inherit abilities he no doubt picked up from Jango ) he was to stop and replace Vader if Vader attempted to backstab palpatine (as vader as seen in ep3 planned to overthrow palpy from day 1..nd Mantis would be he one to do so..why?..more on that later )..
he is simply called Mantis (because the project to grow and nurture him was called Project: Mantis ) he inherits the Title of Darth about the time the ressurected Emperor starts he campaign (just before the Jedi Academy novels)
I could tell you more..he has an apprentice..she is Darth Spectre (and is rumored to be Ysanne Isards daughter..long story) .. and.. a special army (i could post more details..AND pictures in the off topic section..as they were made as a mod for jedi outcast and jedi academy for the pc )
but..you see Jango was hired to be the clone template after he managed to kill a very powerful and dangerous rogue Jedi (a bounty posted by Dooku ) his ability to defeat a jedi 1 to 1 AND to to have the skills and ability to track her down was the main reasons for choosing him (see Star Wars Bounty hunter for the ps2/x-box ) s..Mantis has those abilities too PLUS he has the force..an has been trained since birth he is not only a very powerful jedi..but a formidable warrior..oh..and he uses 2 lightsabers in battle..(i chose a design that kinda mirrors Jangos twin blasters )
and yes..that makes him Boba's "Brother"..i see em as like Liquid and Solid Snake in MGS..with Mantis as Liquid and Boba as Solid

Cool character. I'll just give you the highlights of Darth Cajones life.
Started out as a Jedi, but quickly fell to the darkside.
Searched out and found a Sith Holocron, and began to learn the ways of the Sith.
Decided the rule of 2 wasn't that smart of an idea, as the apprenctice would always look to overtake the master. So he instituted the rule of 3, and gained two apprentices, so they could fight with each other for Cajones' favor.
Killed the winner of his two apprentices when he got uppity.
Conned his way into ownership of a prototype starship, and billed it to the New Republic.
Ship was confiscated by the Jedi Order in an attempt to capture Cajones. In the process of getting it back Cajones utilized another ship with slave circuits as a distraction , by crashing it into the living quarters of the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. Killed numerous Jedi's in this attack.
Used the Sith ability to switch bodies, to hide from the Jedi.
Located the Maw installation, and began planning to turn Ewoks into a renewable food source.
Cajones also uses two lightsabers, one white and one black, (imagine a black light). The Black is dual phased for that extra reach when needed.
That's where the game paused.
Man I miss that game.

What exactly was the blade of a light saber made out of? I always thought it would be cool if there was a scene and while fighting a saber's would be held and the blade would go in a river or puddle and steam would come that would be a nice visual

Its some kinda focused energy using crystals in the hilt. As far as the water think, techically I believe lightsabers have deadman switches, its merely by the force that Jedi can throw sabers and hold down the trigger. An accidental fall or drop would result in the blade going off.
But I gotta admit, it would look pretty cool.

In the Clone Wars cartoon Anakin had a lightsaber fight in the rain and there was steam coming off the blade.
Kit Fisto also used his lightsaber underwater.
The Deadman switch makes sense, because sabers always go off when they drop them. It would be rather dangerous for a lit lightsaber to go flying around.

good call on the CW reference... that was a hot battle!
FYI, in one of the books, a sith ghost teaches one of Luke's students how to triple the length of one. SOmething that large, if you were quick enough, could be enough to take down a fleet of AT-ATs by yourself: it'd hack right through the legs.
