Why doesn't the WWE fire the do nothing divas?Every week they do absolutley nothing, or when they do try to wrestle, they end making Jackie Gayda's wrestling skills look like that of Chris Beniot...
WHY GOD, WHY???

Jackie Gayda won Tough Enough! In theory, she should BE as good as Chris Benoit! Ah, nevermind.

When those 'diva's' pose for Playboy, it will give the WWE a lot of attention. So I guess, that's pretty much the reason why they are still there, since most real diva's (like Trish) won't do Playboy.

They're cheaper than actual wrestlers.

Sadly enough they are all generic, and there are too many of them. Plus most people donh't even know all of their names. They all have the acting skills of porn stars also. It's a shame that there are so many beautiful women and still no one even cares.

Why won't WWE fire them? The answer is really simple. You see, in Vince's mind....
Divas = ratings
He's doing it to satisfy the horny men in the crowd or watching at home (Yes, there ARE people who watch for the divas). Plus, they're there for cross promotion (like with Playboy, as Sky Maximus mentioned).

I'm still convinced that Lauren Jones (Smackdown Diva #83) was scouted while dancing at a strip club. Not that I'm knocking strip clubs.... it's just not exactly like scouting from OVW.

I feel kind of sorry for those girls actually. I mean if I was scouted to be a diva, then I got there and got next to no air time and was one of like 10 brought in at once I would be kind of upset. Although, the large amount of money Vince was giving me to sit on my butt all day would comfort me....wait, maybe I don't feel sorry for them. Maybe just Michelle McCool. Poor thing, she's so lanky and kinda flat and doesn't have much personality. I wonder how she got on......

The funny thing about some of these new divas is, there isn't even a storyline explanation for why they're there. Like, was it ever explained why Joy (the one who was hanging around with the Big Show for awhile) was backstage on Smackdown all the time? At least with that McCool woman, she's there to interview people (as flimsy an explanation as that may be).
Another thing that cracks me up is when they appear in backstage segments and they're standing in front of a mirror, brushing their hair, putting make-up on, as if they're about to go out to the ring and do something. And then once the segment's over, you never see them again for the rest of the night!

what happened to mccool as a trainer, is she gonna be rvd's heel trainer when he gets back
RVD needs to come back as heel, or else how is he gonna get a title shot, thats why eddie is a heel.
Face vs. Face is a no no to wwe

Face vs. face has worked before. Hogan vs. Warrior, Bret vs. Shawn, and Benoit vs. Shawn all had the fans pretty evenly split and into the matches. Still, with Cena vs. RVD, probably the fans would be mostly behind RVD, so if anyone should turn heel, it's Cena.
About the Diva thing, Vince thought in the late 90's and early 00's that sex and violence sells. He has to realize: sex doesn't sell; violence sells. Go back to more hardcore elements, break more stuff, have more blading, and more elaborate pyro in entrances like Gangrel and old-school Kane.

Actually they all came in with these strange "backstage roles" that they actually all stated they wanted to do or be a part of.
Michelle McCool has an interest in wrestling and is a certified personal trainer. Maria has stated that she wanted to be a backstage interviewer (although she sad she envied Josh Grisham which was a bit sad) And Joy Giovanni does have training in that massage thereapy thing or whatever it was they said she was when they anounced that they hired her.
Althought I have no idea what Lauren JOnes, or Candice Michelle do.

It is definetly one thing to have T and A on wrestling. That's fine and dandy, and it has it's place sure. It's also another thing to have divas you care or at least know and are presented every week. But to have many divas that are not shown each week or shown and not mentioned from an obscure diva search and having to announce their own names in diva showdowns is beyond stupid. A couple of them have done somewhat well, namely Joy (for being piared with Big Show), Christy (for winning the damn thing), Michelle McCool (well... maybe not, but I like her) and to an extent, Maria. The rest? As far as I can see, just fire them. Candice Michelle, besides the dumb GoDaddy.com commercial, has already had her 15 minutes of fame, the Lauren and Rochelle ladies... who are they again? My point is that for women to be on a wrestling show, that is fine and dandy. But if it gets to a point where pillow fights last longer than an actual women's match, something needs to get changed.

I wouldn't have a problem with lingerie pillow fights, if they would just give it the WWE treatment. In other words, would it have killed Christy to "load" her pillowcase with a brick?
