Hey RD...
I just finished reading over Sex, Lies and Headlocks, and the mentioned that, had Hogan no-showed, Sting would have taken his spot in the nWo. Out of curiosity, when you and Bryan were working on Death of WCW, did you hear anything about this? I'm curious how they would have explained this away, storyline-wise. I'm sure Sting was the pick for shock value, but it wouldn't have fit.
Either way, I'm sure had Sting joined the nWo, he would have been brought down by the heroic Hogan before it really took off.
On another note... not just to put you guys over, but I really felt Death of WCW was a superior book to that one. Not only was it funnier, but your fact checking seemed much better AND you didn't come across as grinding an axe against Vince. Most books I've seen have either cast Vince as a saint(most WWE produced books) or as the devil(most books he refused to cooperate with). Pretty much you and Mick Foley are the only people who seem somewhat balanced. Not too coincidentally, your books and Foley's are the only ones I've bought outside the bargain bin. =p

If I could chime in here.....
My personal opinion is that Sting as the head of the NWO would not have worked. Yes it would have been shocking. However Sting really had no reason to turn heel at that point in time. It would have felt forced. And then as you mentioned, Hogan would have been to one to head up WCW later and save the day. This would have made things worse. The reason that Hogan turned heel in the first place was because his babyface act was very stale and people were starting to boo him. So if babyface Hogan came in later to save the universe from the NWO, this would have made people even more sick of him and they wouldn't have cheered for it.
I believe that the first year of the NWO Invasion was perfect. After the Hogan-Sting match where Sting won, that should have been the end of it.
