Simple topic, but deserves some back up.
Basically, what was your saddest moment in wrestling? Im not talking about "pathetic" sad, nor am I talking about the sad that comes with the death of a wrestler. Why? The death of a wrestler is more than sad, especially when you look to people like Pillman, Owen, Hildebrand and Spucolli. Im talking about the saddness that brought a tear to your eye, the kind when you learn your favorite wrestler's career is over.
I was heartbroken beacause of two words, Dyanamite Kid. Read his book, as his life is terrible now. In a wheelchair, divorced from wife, in a family that is/was out of control, and extremly bitter also. Dyamite was amazing, and I LOVED his matches with Tiger Mask in the 80s. Not to mention the fact that he also influenced Jericho and Benoit, two of the greatest wrestlers in WWE. Terrible look at what a legend has become.
PS-Note to RD: This seems way off-topic, but "Death of WCW" was awesome, I have already read it more than 3 times. Maybe I should try...other things.

Hulk Hogan's 7th WCW title win was tossed out the window. Hogan beat Jarret for the title at Bash At The Beach and then Russu announced for no reason at all that it wasn't the real world title? and the match never existed

The death of WCW, you just realized the whole ride was over and you'll never be able to experience it again.

My saddest wrestling moment of all time would have to be Owen's death. It was mainly because he was such a good man, and his death had nothing to do with drugs or any other self-destructive behavior. I believe he went before his time. The saddest moment this week for me was the release of Molly.

Paul Heyman showing up as a regular on RAW. It nailed the coffin shut on any chance of ECW carrying on.
WWE releasing injured workers after a history of at least doing the right, ethical thing and letting them heal first. It began with crapper Test, and continued on.
Pat Patterson finally saying "criminey jeeze you" to the WWE when nobody cared about his input - yet wanted the input of criminey jeezeing soap opera writers.
WWE releasing Rhyno and Matt Hardy based on issues that had NOTHING to do with wrestling.
Molly Holly requesting a leave from WWE. Molly has always been one of the good people in that lots of manurety company, and now she's gone.

Reading John Tenta's thread on the Wrestlecrap forum about his battle with cancer. I cried.
My thoughts are with you John

Paul Heyman showing up as a regular on RAW. It nailed the coffin shut on any chance of ECW carrying on. That was it for me..The moment when Heyman walks up to McMahon's door..Straightens his tie..And clears his throat and knocks.. The dream was dead at that moment. It took 3 seconds..But that moment, to me, was the saddest wrestling-related moment in my life.

I would have to go with the Death of ECW screw the Death of WCW. ECW WAS the company that had attitude, they were the company that didnt give a f*** and basically said f*** WWF and f*** WCW. Then it was gone all within what seemed like a blink of an eye. And to think if they were still going strong today then they would probably be kicking Vinces ass in the ratings.

Id also include the Raw that aired the night after Owen Hart died.....that was more sad because of the little ones and the wife he left behind so suddenly.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, when JR announced that Owen Hart had died. My friends and I were watching on PPV and you had a roomful of ten 20-something pro wrestling fans sobbing--literally sobbing. We just turned off the TV, thirty bucks be damned.

Hogan winning the belt at mania 9. The saddest moment in wrestling of all time by a very sad man. I was at WrestleMania XX when Benoit won the belt. Let me tell you, the crowd was there to see Benoit win the title. I said to my friend, "Can you imagine the riot that would've broken out if Hogan had come out, challenged Benoit, and beaten him in thirty seconds?" My friend wisely replied, "Yeah, because if this were Starrcade instead of WrestleMania, that would've happened!"

I'd have to do with the double death of WCW and ECW within a span of months. I really never realized how good we had it back then, until the last year or so when I am just going insane for something different, something major league (I don't count TNA)...

Joe Thurman- The jobber that Vader massacred in WCW. The broadcast team even encouraged people to send him cards and letters for crying out loud.

Flair losing that Raw match to HHH. I guess I got all worked up about it and wanted to believe... heck, even if he gave the win and belt back the very next week... I thought it was going to happen, in his hometown, on live TV.

Bret Hart's last few months in WCW. I was always a huge Bret fan and seeing him struggle with the nature of the business, his family's infighting, the concussion, Owen's death, and WCW's lack of direction... It was so very sad. To see a worker like him, one who had dedicated his life to wrestling languishing at the end of his career always bothered me.
