RD,
Just wanted to know if this has ever been inducted. From the way I remember it he was a interviewer/announcer/commentator for the match between Shawn Michaels knights and the Hart family. Something to do with Family Feud, I dunno.

I'm pretty much neither Combs himself nor the match were ever inducted.
I specifically remember Combs desperately trying to build heat for that match by bringing up to the Harts all the awful things Shawn Michaels (who, as you mentioned, was accompanied by the "mystery knights") had said about them. Except that Michaels and the Harts hadn't had anything to do with one another storyline-wise in months, if ever (Bret Hart, at the time, was locked into a feud with Jerry Lawler, while Michaels was doing his thing as the would-be IC champ.).
To be fair to all involved, I'll point out that the match was initially supposed to be Jerry Lawler and the Knights (Which makes MUCH more sense) against the Harts, and the switch happened at pretty much the last minute when Lawler got himself into some sexual molestation trouble.
Family Feud per se actually had little to nothing to do with the match, unless we count that this was the start of the Bret/Owen feud.

They did the same thing at Wrestlemania VIII and it was lame. Can't remember the match, some lower card match they stuck on to take time.

I was searching through some old tapes and ran into an old RAW. Right before they announced the 93 Survivor Series matches they had Ray Combs talk about how he was going to be there. I shivered and thought about how far wrestling has gotten.
We moved from Ray Combs to David Arquette.

Why the hell did they choose Ray Combs of all people again?

Because it was a FAMILY feud. The Hart Family against the Royal Family.
Combs was great at WM8, introducing the heels. For the Mountie: Here is a man who doesn't know the meaning of the word fear. In fact, there are a lot of words he doesn't know the meaning of. As a law enforcement officer, he does the work of three men: Larry, Curly, and Moe. And for the Repo Man: Repo Man was an unwanted child. His parents were hoping for a boy. Nobody can call him two-faced because if he were, he'd damned sure be wearing the other one.

I think they only called them Lawler and His Knights. The Raw before Suvivor Series, they had interview with Michaels where Shawn took up Lawler's name calling of the Hart family but it was still stupid to say they had endure months of Michaels name calling when only did it one night.

I don't know if people will understand this or not...but I really don't want to see this match inducted. I mean, it's not like Ray Combs wrestled or anything, he just served as a guest commentator.
I suppose the other reason I don't want to see this inducted is because this was the first match that I had EVER been introduced to my favorite wrestler...Bret Hitman Hart. It holds kind of a soft spot in my heart.

Not to mention, Owen's heel turn started here, and for many of us, was the only time we ever got to see Bruce and Keith wrestle.

One thing I noticed about that match, Brue and Keith never taken a fall in the match. Owen won with a missle drop kick, bret used a sharpshooter, then owen used the sharpshooter, then shawn walked out. Yes, we saw the seed planted for Owen heel turn whoch occured at the Royal Rumble.

I did think Bruce and Keith took their share of beatings though. IMO, they did a pretty good job selling, wrestling, ect...maybe not Flair level ability or anything...but certainly better than Nash or Hogan.

Ray Combs was a good friend of Heenan's, which might be why he was there. Also, at the time, WWF and Family Feud did a lot of stuff together anyway....FF specials with WWF guys appearing.
Having Shawn Michaels and his Knights was pretty stupid, but since it was the begining of Owen's turn, the match had to happen. It wasn't a bad match. Just the logic was flawed.
Anyone remember the Knights?
I know Greg Valentine was supposedly one, as was Barry Horriwitz.

I do not know how accurate this is, but this was taken from the wrestleview.com Shawn Michaels FAQ section. At Survivor Series 1993, who were Shawn Michaels' 3 "knights" in the match against Bret, Owen, Bruce, and Keith Hart, and why did Michaels take Jerry Lawler's place in the first place? The Red Knight was Barry Horrowitz. The Blue Knight was Greg Valentine. The Black Knight was Jeff Gaylord. In November of 1993, Jerry Lawler was being charged for allegedly raping a 13 and 14-year old girl. The charges were later dropped. And as you guessed it, it was around the same time Survivor Series was happening which is why Shawn Michaels took his place. www.wrestleview.com/info/faq/michaels.shtmland oh yeah check out my avitar.. Combs & WWF was for sure Wrestle Crap.
