I remember Hogan coming to the ring with a shirt that read "F.U.N.B." Hogan would say, "The 'N.B.' stands for New Blood. You figure out what 'F.U.' stands for."
I believe Scott Keith said it best at the time--"I love shoot comments that aren't meant to be shoot comments."

i guess he was SOL and you know what that means... I loved that catchphrase, followed by Kevin Nash's laugh that almost sounded like a horse in heat. Am I the only one here that liked the Natural Born Thrillers? Come on, gimme some confidence.

I think I was too much of a mark to like Natural Born Thrillas at the time. I, to this day, don't like Above Average Mike Sanders, because, well, 79% all the time doesn't really get it done, as well as his long, boring ass Cruiserweight reign, and I'm glad that Chavo took that damn thing off him.
Let's see, Palumbo wasn't that bad. Really, I didn't think he sucked too much. And Sean O' Haire was pretty rockin' too. But that's probably about it.

The funny thing to me is that so many members of the "new blood" weren't really new, WCW fans had been seeing them for years. I'm talking about guys like Bagwell, Douglas, Jarrett, the Harris Bros. and Scott Steiner. I also have to say, I found more than a lil humor in the fact that when the whole "new blood" angle started, Sid had one Nitro appearance where he lost to I believe Stevie Ray, and then was never seen in WCW again.
Now, there were some people involved in the whole "new blood" stable who truly would have been hot as hell as the main eventers they deserved to be. I'm talking about guys like Vampiro, Rey Mysterio, Kidman, Mike Awesome and yes, even the Natural Born Thrillers. I remember actually thinking that instead of the whole angle with Nash as their "coach" (and yes, his laugh was indeed annoying as hell) that it would have fit perfectly to have a heel Flair as their mentor, teaching them how to style and profile.
Now, the new blood vs. millionares club did have its moments, I have to say. The whole idea of there being all new champions could have been exciting as hell if it had been used right. Maybe they should have even changed the titel belts while they were at it. I also thought the match to fill the cruiserweight title that featured guys like Crow Bar, Las Leroux, Chris Candido, and others was actually an awesome peice of high flying action.

God, you talk about wrestlers that WWE just completely missed the boat on, Sean O'Haire HAS to be at the top of the list. The guy had some great moves and that Devil's Advocate gimmick ("I'm not telling you anything that you didn't already know") was awesome. Then they had to make him into Piper's bodyguard and just killed him.
Man, I still shake my head about that one.
But then, I'm not telling you anything that you didn't already know.
