I'm not sure how accurate this is but while my friend was watching the ppv tonight one of the guys watching with him said that during a house show he was at The SES masked man did a run in and did a signature Cody move. My friend didn't know what the name of the move was though and I don't know if the guy said it.
Has anyone heard anything about this or been to a house show where the masked man has done a run in?

Don't think it'd be Rhodes, if only because they could do his conversion on air and get some mileage out of it.
My thoughts? It's the soon-to-be-christened Joseph Hendrix.

Cody Rhodes has signature moves? That was seriously my first question.

I think it was because the Masked Man did the Cross Rhodes one week on SmackDown, I think. Did this happen?

When he first appeared at Extreme Rules, the masked guy's hood came down briefly, and he had a shaved head. And Cody's been seen on Smackdown since then.
Of course, plans can always change, so it's not out of the question. They don't seem to have anything else for Cody to do at the moment.

I'm still under the impession that It's J. Matthews myself but I was curious if there was any validity to this.

Or they didn't feel like having the real masked maskedman show up and, since Cody is merely the projected anti-persona of a Create-a-Wrestler, they had him put on the gimmick for the night. He had just enough points for the costume, but not enough to get different moves for the night. He did, however, get to add 2 to his toughness.

Funny.
I used Cross Rhodes as my finisher in Smackdown vs. RAW 2009, and for a moment in 2010 until I realized Cody Rhodes and Chris Hero use it.
Maybe I'm the Masked Man? Or maybe it's Masked Man from Smackdown vs. RAW 2009?!

I dont think it is. Cody needs an angle to push him forward. Being one of Punks henchmen wont do it.

I think it was because the Masked Man did the Cross Rhodes one week on SmackDown, I think. Did this happen? I thought that at the time and got quite excited, but looking back I don't think it is. The Cross Rhodes starts with the 'victim' (for want of a better word)'s back facing Cody's chest, whereas the masked man's move started with hooking the victim's arms as if to do an underhook DDT. I'm glad it isn't Cody though. I don't think he'd look right with a shaved head

Cody's only signature moves I've seen are his seizure after missing a moonsault, and the one where he lies on his back for a three count.
Word around the campfire is the masked man is Joey Matthews.

I'm still under the impession that It's J. Matthews myself but I was curious if there was any validity to this. There's no validity to it, because of 2 things: 1. The masked man is shorter than Punk. Rhodes is the same height as Punk at 6'1". 2. The abdominal region of the masked man is waaaaay too defined for it to be Rhodes. In short, my friend's been to the last 2 WWE shows (supershow in Cincy and Over the Limit in Detroit) and has seen him.

Do his abs look like they're too small for his body?
