Lmao, I had to post it. I personally like his finisher in Japan than here in the States. Either way they are both pretty simple moves for finishers, depending on how you do them.

Ah, Ye Olde Bitch Squasher, I loved seeing it when I was a kid but, always wondered what made his so much better than the other people that used one.

I'd go for something pointy like a Knee or Elbow Drop instead.

Was he using the legdrop in the AWA? Or is that a WWF signature?

It's actually a combo finisher
3 punches=>Big Boot=>Leg Drop
I always will mark for the Hulk-a-Combo

Say what you will, Hulking Up just made people mark the f**k out.
The prime example has to be Wrestlemania X8.

It's the classic example of a simple finisher being put over as a killer. Of all the things good and bad about Hogan, the Legdrop is one of the very good.

Never had an issue with it. It's no less believable than Sweet Chin Music or most lariat finishers.

Loved it then love it now and it always made you suspend disbelief. I mean really 300 lbs across your throat or a full minute of spassing out then droping an elbow(People's elbow)? At least the leg drop is rooted in semi-logic

Hogan was huge back in the 80's there's no way anyone should kick out of such a maneuver. I love the Hulk up/finger point/finishing combo as well.

It was fine, but as mentioned, the Axe Bomber was a more interesting finisher, and got over huge in Japan, a country that was known for going absolutely ape over huge gaijins hitting lariats.

Good to see some people actually like it. You have just suffered a boot to the face and then as you lie there trying to gain your bearings..BAM!!! Leg drop!

I like the move...it works as a solid combo move.
Granted it's much more believable when he doesn't pose for like 30 minutes after the big boot/clothesline/body slam.

Never had an issue with it. It's no less believable than Sweet Chin Music or most lariat finishers. Not to disagree with the whole premise of this thread, but I wholly disagree with this statement. The Sweet Chin Music is a kick directly to the chin, and the Lariat is a guy full on slamming his arm into your throat. All the legdrop is is a bent leg dropping on a guy's chest. Hogan rarely ever even got near the throat, even with suspension of disbelief fully in effect.

Assuming the moves are not done within to protect the person taking the move but honestly intending to hurt them.....a kick to the jaw is gonna cause a problem. Same for a full force forearm to the head/throat/chest coming from a big individual. A leg drop would hurt as well as it's a 300lb guy dropping all his weight onto your throat/chest/head/face. It's all gonna hurt...but the severity from a kick or lariat seem worse to me and much more practical.
