Tennessee in two weeks could be a problem for them.

Georgia adds a 52-yard FG to make it a 17-0 lead.
Florida State humbling Samford the old country way, now it's 35-0.

THANK GOD Ricky Stanzi's injury was just an ankle injury not as originally feared (the Iowa radio guys were fearing that it was an ACL) and Stanzi is back in

THANK GOD Ricky Stanzi's injury was just an ankle injury not as originally feared (the Iowa radio guys were fearing that it was an ACL) and Stanzi is back in I wasn't too worried about him... however, Iowa seems to like to find the banana peel whenever they start getting national coverage ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) So ya never know.

These aren't your Daddy's Gators. You can say that again. John Brantley may end up being a better pure passer than Tim Tebow was, but the Gators' style of offense worked much better with a quarterback who was a running threat. The Gators won a National Championship in 2006-07 with Chris Leak. They won it again in 2008-09 with Tebow. In terms of passing ability, Brantley is leaps and bounds better than Leak or Tebow. However, being a solid pocket passer alone does not make for a great offense. Also, the offensive line has been absolutely abominable. There have been multiple bad snaps when the team is in shotgun, and they haven't been able to open any serious holes for Demps or Rainey.

UL-Lafayette gets on the board with a 60 yard TD pass, Georgia's lead cut to 24-7.
Illinois and Missouri tied at 3. Scratch that, Illinois retakes the lead at 10-3.
Edit: Georgia scores a touchdown right at the halftime gun, though it's now under review. Touchdown stands, 31-7 Georgia at halftime between the hedges.

Why can't there be one game that's even remotely close?

Illinois leads 13-3 at halftime.
Georgia Tech leads 20-3.
Michigan State adds another TD to make it 35-7 over Western Michigan.
Miami(OH) adds a field goal to pull within 21-9 of Florida(after the Gators had a bad snap that Brantley had to recover at the 1, then just barely avoid giving up a safety, then a punt was downed at the Florida 28 yard line).

Why can't there be one game that's even remotely close? Opening week is always Cupcake Week. Only about 4 teams actually play real equal opponents.

This is the same Miami(OH) team that got blanked 49-0 by Kentucky, then I believe 51-0 in the next game they played last season.
WTF Florida? Brantley looks super timid. I guess it's first game nerves, but jeez.

Florida has 26 yards of total offense at the start of the 4th quarter? Definitely not your daddy's Gators ...

Why can't there be one game that's even remotely close? Becauase this is the week most of the cowardly teams (read about 90% of BCS school teams) schedule their Southeast North Dakota State Tech quality of teams.
