A moonsault into a double knee landing. It's pretty damn awesome. Jaysus, I'm kinda pissed I missed that then, even thought I'd have to see the defection of Ivan Delirious. Delirious is a good lizard-man, he would not have defected willingly. obviously he's been brainwashed by the Eye of Tyr thanks to Arse, "Triple C" Communist Claudio Castagnoli, Turdsauce, Comrade Donst, and the rest of those BDK scumbags

So what did you guys think of the results from the Chikara event? I called it an event, because you know, they don't represent wrestling according to a certain Canadian.

I haven't posted it here but I won't be able to go to the CHIKARA show in NJ.
Most of my friends who watch wrestling aren't going to be around and one won't friggen answer the question and my brother is working...
BAH!
I was kind of hoping for someone other then Delirious as that was the obvious answer but I guess it makes the most sense...

Oh. Well, I was thinking CHIKARA plus big afro, I'm out of touch with the indy scenes.

Tag match results: TFIN defeats SSB (10:07) FIST defeats 3.0 (11:36) TFIN defeats FIST (13:13)
TFIN now has enough points to challenge for the belts!
Fire Ant vs. Lince Dorado: Lince wins after a SSP
Amasis vs. Vin Gerard: Gerard wins thanks to some interference by Colin Delaney
Quack/Jigsaw/Dasher/Dunkerton vs. Tursas/Sanchez/Haze/Del Rey: Tecnicos win after Jigsaw lands a Jig-N-Tonic on Sanchez.
Soldier Ant vs. Tim Donst for the YLC: Donst wins with the inverted CHIKARA special
Tag match for the belts: bdk gets the first fall seconds into the match after Frightmare is attacked on the floor by Delirious. Tiger Driver by Ares on Frightmare wins it for the bdk. Numerous times during the match, Incoherence had the bdk pinned, which resulted in Sabato doing a slow count.
Eddie Kingston vs. Tommy Dreamer: No decision. Sabato pulled Bryce out of the ring, but was chased off by Dreamer. Ares & Claudio then attacked but got ran off as well. Hammermeir then took a Backfist to the Future and a DVD from Dreamer and Kingston. Dreamer then challenged Ares & Claudio to a tag match with Kingston as his partner. The match gets accepted, and will happen in South Philly.

Dreamer and Kingston goes to a no contest thanks to the BDK. Sabato pulled Bryce from the ring and Ares and Claudio attack. The DreamKings run them off and Kingston hit the BDK announcer with a Back Fist to the Future into a DVD from Dreamer.
Dreamer and King will face Claudio and Ares in Philly

Dreamer and Kingston as a tag team=AWESOME!
Incoherence basically losing a squash match for the belts=NOT AWESOME!

The second fall was a lot better than it reads from what I heard. Incoherence had them down for several 3 counts if not for Sabato's slow count.

You seem to be forgetting the other big announcement of the night, Chikara's coming to Brooklyn! I am DEFINITELY going. And yeah, the Incoherence vs BDK match was a LOT better than the summary makes it out to be.

God dammit. The BDK DO NOT NEED ANY MORE MEMBERS! Good lord. There's being dominant, and then there's being ridiculous, and BDK's trending into that area. Maybe its just me, but the BDK is almost feeling like it has an A and a B team. BDK needs to lose to not look insanely dominant? It'll be Pinkie, Donst,Lance, Daizee or Sara. Have Claudio, Ares or Taursus even lost yet this year?

Just got back from my first Chikara show, and it exceeded all of my expectations. The show was by far the greatest wrestling event I have ever been to. I'll run down the night in segments:
The show started about ten minutes late, but we got great seats on the bleachers across from the hard cam. Best seats in the house, IMO. Crowd was hot all night and were all pro-Chikara but three very vocal BDK supporters.
3.0 were the stars of the elimination bout. They were easily the crowd favorites, and the crowd was very disappointed with their elimination. Chuck Taylor went to punch a kid sitting next to my girlfriend - a spot where her niece would've sat if she had come with us. It was awesome. 3.0 also wear Zubaz now, and a chant broke out because of that. Great beginning to the evening.
Lince/Fire Ant was a very entertaining match, including a few awesome diving and avalanche spots. Not much to discuss here, but that's not a knock on the bout. Lince was a fantastic heel though.
Amasis vs. Vin was a surprising deep match. There was obviously a story to tell, and these guys did not disappoint when it came to showcasing that story. Vin went for a handshake to start but Amasis walked away. Vin also broke out a LOT of old Equinox lucha maneuvers while wrestling a clean match. End came when Colin went to punt (ala Orton) Amasis, who was hanging on the bottom rope while the ref was checking on Vin, only to miss and be forced to do it again. Amasis sold the punt like death, and Vin actually showed concern for his opponent after the match as he did not see Colin's interference.
The main story of the 8-man was Dunkerton's infatuation with Haze. He refused to wrestle her, insisting she was "okay." Haze used this to attack him throughout the match and/or distracting him long enough for the other BDK members to take advantage. Tursas was immovable for most of the match, but was finally sent over the rail at some point. Dunkerton finally realized Haze's true intentions and dropped her on head with a sick driver. After about 200 sick kicks from Death Rey, Chikara picks up a win.
Intermission included me getting pictures with Helios, Dasher, Super Smash Bros. (as well as an autographed photo of them) and Scott aka Jagged of 3.0 (who also sold be a 2.0 headband while flirting hard with my girlfriend). I forgot to mention that he went to use her camera to take a picture of himself at the beginning of the elimination match, but it's a professional camera so he ended up just turning the flash on. We told him so he took a proper one in addition to the couple he took with us. Jagged also cheated me a dollar after he accidentally gave me an extra $10, but he was super awesome so I didn't care.
Soldier Ant vs. Tim Donst for the YLC was a solid match, but the ending killed it for me. Donst locked in the Reverse Chikara Special for the first time in the bout, and Soldier passes out allowing the champion to retain. The problem? Donst did not work on any body parts during the match and gets the submission on the first time. Soldier spent the entire contest trying to lock the Chikara Special in, building anticipation to him locking it in the center of ring for the victory. The match just ended out of nowhere in a nonsensical way.
Tag title match was freakin' amazing, despite all of the shenanigans involved. Delirious looked creepy as hell attached to a chain like a dog and wearing a white hood over his actual mask. He DESTROYED Incoherence prior to the first bell, including smashing Hallowicked's head with a Panic Attack on the guardrail. Frightmare is rolled into the ring and pinned for the first fall. Chikara Tecnicos surround the ring for the second fall, which featured Frightmare getting beaten to a pulp by the champions. Hallowicked finally gets in and cleans house, but left the ring long enough for Ares to hit the Tiger Driver to retain. Delirious spent the match standing on the outside corner (right in front of me) and did nothing but grab at Ares' and Claudio's legs like a sad puppy every time they entered the area.
Eddie Kingston vs. Tommy Dreamer featured dueling chants and less of a hardcore style than I expected. It was simply a wrestling bout with stiff shots and surprising solid wrasslin. The story of the match was Dreamer working over Kingston's injured knee from an errant ringpost shot. Sabato was looking to screw Kingston and ring the bell when Tommy locked in the Cloverleaf. I should also mention that Sabato was almost knocked out during the tag title match, prompting Bryce to stand from the commentary position...only for Sabato to reveal he was fine. Sabato was also almost hit with a Dreamer piledriver. Dreamer made the match, also shilling a return to the arena for a different promotion, followed by Kingston telling a story about how Dreamer was his idol.
The assault on the German announcer was brutal. Gavin Loudspeaker, who had taken way too much BS from him throughout the night, posed over his body a dozen times to close the show.
Leaving the parking lot I saw UltraMantis Black walking to his car and Dasher throwing his stuff in the back of another car.
