With his "classy," comments on twitter I highly doubt this is a work like some are fearing. If this was a work they would've done it on Impact not unceremonusly over the weekend.

I don't really care that he was fired. But I had no real problem with the on screen character. He was another Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan type loudmouth manager.
If everyone hates him so much, he was kind of doing his job as a heel..

As it's been said before, there's a difference between the good heat someone like, say, AJ gets, and bad heat that Bubba gets just for being Bubba. That said, about frikkin' time. |

This radio host "Cowhead" had Awesome Kong on the show the other day. It started out as a normal interview with questions and stuff. Then out of nowhere, it turns out to be a SWERVE~~ and Bubba The Love Sponge comes on the air out of nowhere and starts yelling at her and made racial remarks. |

Given his classless rant on Twitter, and his sad efforts to mobilise the 'Bubba Army', it shows once again that he's just a self-aggrandising idiot who wants nothing more than to hang out with wrestlers and be a part of the show.
Put simply, Bubba is a self-deluding mark with all the charm and social grace of a pubic louse. Good riddance, you useless sack of horse leavings.
