Is it really too much to ask that TNA create their own identity? WWE lite doesn't exactly inspire people to tune in. What would you suggest their identity be?

Keep the Global title. A Hardcore title is way too 90's.

The hardcore belt would be beneficial for guys like Brutus Magnus, Jesse Neal who arent x-division material.
Or Rhino, Tomko,Raven,Stevie who arent main event material

I always hated hardcore. I can count the number of "great" hardcore matches I have seen on 2 fingers

Wasn't the whole point of the X Division kind of a merger between Hardcore and Cruiserweight championships? High flying wrestling with "no limits." Meh. I think a secondary, non-divisional title is much more important, since it's the theoretical bridge between the midcard and main event. Hardcore titles will just lead to guys wearing football helmets getting whacked with Surge bottles. They still make Surge?!?!?!? Where can I get it???

Happy with the end of Suicide, hated the gimmick ever since it started. A character from a video game coming to life in the real fed doesnt appeal to me.

What they could at least do is payoff the angle with Suicide by revealing it was Kazarian or something.
Anyway, maybe instead of holding a tournament for the hardcore title, they could bring the Sandman back with the Hard 10 Title, or whatever he had (though Sandman said he would never work for TNA again and hates Jeff Jarrett).
But yeah, it's not the first time it's been tried, and I know some guys can pull it off, but something different needs to be done. It would put some of the wrestlers on Tv, such as Dr. Stevie, Raven, Rhino, etc. But they could use the Global Title for that. And yes, Rob Terry does need to drop that belt soon.

Didn't you just say that TNA should have a midcard belt like The US and Intercontinental titles? And as far as TNA getting a hardcore belt, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't want to see it. I'd like to be able to see hardcore matches on free TV on a regular basis, and I know WWE won't be offering me that.

They're creating a hardcore division for their newest signing because "X-Division Holly" doesn't sound as cool.

Don't be ignorant. It annoys me so much when people claim that they are trying to copy WWE or be a 'lite' version of them. It so isn't true. They are obviously looking to be Nu-WCW. Look at whose in charge, look at who the focus of the top storylines is. Look at that entrance walkway. It all screams WCW. WWE Lite, pah. 'WCW' all the way! This is a WCW license with the word "WCW" crossed out and TNA written in crayon! (not my joke) Man didn't have the right form.

I like the idea of the Legend's/Global title being a blank slate belt of sorts whose stipulations and limits are changed/decided with each new champion. They seemed to be going that with heel EY, but not after Terry won it.
This way you could make it a superheavyweight championship for a few months, a hardcore title after that, intergender belt for a couple of weeks, then something like a time limit title. Just go nuts with it.

Yes, I did because every fed should have a generic midcard belt as a step up to the main event. A gimmick title that grew old 8 years ago is not something that every fed needs.

Global Title is worthless, A Hardcore title will lead to some good entertainment espically if the champion has to defend it 24/7

Of course.
Hopefully it can be defended 24 hrs a day too.
And be made of a broken heavy weight belt.
And maybe they could just bring in WWF's old roster to fight for it too.

Yeah the attitude era called TNA and they want their ideas back. Why wouldn't you emulate the most successful period in wrestling history? Keep in mind, the concepts of the Attitude Era didn't so much become unpopular as the WWE just phased them out while regressing back to the "New Generation"-style show. Times have changed. Would you be trying to do what was popular in 1986 in 1996? Same thing here. The whole Attitude Era was a representation of that time's zeitgeist. Things have changed, and attempting to recreate it will make TNA look out of touch.

Why the hate for a Hardcore title?
Imagine Shark Boy being the new Crash Holly. PLEASE, just imagine it.
I don't care if it's being like WWF's Attitude era, we all liked, so TNA makes their kind of spin on it.
And yes, there are that many poeple who think the REAL reason why WWE has been failing is because the lack of the Hardcore Title.
They can also hotshot it whenever they want, since WWF did it too.
One more thing: WCW's Hardcore Title never sucked to me, EVER.

This is when the WWE toned down the product and regressed into more of a pre-Attitude era format of simplistic storylines, bland characters and a kid-friendly product. Keep in mind that the Attitude Era ratings were also head-to-head with Nitro, which itself got big ratings, whereas the downfall came while unopposed. If we're looking at wrestling's popularity at the time as a whole and not just the WWE, then RAW & Nitro were drawing a combined 10+(!!!) at their peak. I'd argue that the elements that made the Attitude Era insanely popular transcend any 'era', just as the elements that make up a great book or movie transcend time. We're talking larger than life characters, engrossing storylines and fast-paced action -- three staples of a great wrestling product, all of which peaked in the late 90's in many people's opinion and according to the ratings.

Times have changed. Would you be trying to do what was popular in 1986 in 1996? Same thing here. The whole Attitude Era was a representation of that time's zeitgeist. Things have changed, and attempting to recreate it will make TNA look out of touch. Who's to say the Attitude Era ever went out of style? Just take a look at the ratings... {Spoiler}1999 Date Rating January 4, 1999 5.7 January 11, 1999 5.5 January 18, 1999 5.6 January 25, 1999 5.5 February 1, 1999 5.9 February 8, 1999 Not On February 15, 1999 5.9 February 22, 1999 5.5 February 29, 1999 6.3 March 8, 1999 6.4 March 15, 1999 5.8 March 22, 1999 6.4 March 29, 1999 6.5 April 5, 1999 5.8 April 12, 1999 6.3 April 19, 1999 6.1 April 26, 1999 6.0 May 3, 1999 6.4 May 10, 1999 8.1 May 17, 1999 6.4 May 24, 1999 7.2 June 7, 1999 6.7 June 14, 1999 6.7 June 21, 1999 6.0 June 28, 1999 6.8 July 5, 1999 6.2 July 12, 1999 5.97 July 19, 1999 6.3 July 26, 1999 7.1 August 2, 1999 5.9 August 9, 1999 6.4 August 16, 1999 6.6 August 23, 1999 5.9 August 30, 1999 4.2 September 6, 1999 4.4 September 13, 1999 6.0 September 20, 1999 6.1 September 27, 1999 6.8 October 4, 1999 5.9 October 11, 1999 6.1 October 18, 1999 5.4 October 25, 1999 5.6 November 1, 1999 5.9 November 8, 1999 5.4 November 15, 1999 6.3 November 22, 1999 5.5 November 29, 1999 6.5 December 6, 1999 6.0 December 13, 1999 6.1 December 20, 1999 5.8 December 27, 1999 5.8

Okay then, why would WWE - a company who's sole purpose is to make money - change their programming from something that was making them a lot of money to something that made them less money? It doesn't make any sense. As I recall the fans dropped off and THEN WWE changed thier programming to try and capture a new audience because their old one got tired of the Attitude Era programming.
