I see it as a bait & switch to get people to buy the PPV. Why else would you start talking about a "huge surprise" 4 days before the 2nd biggest PPV of the year? Victory Road is nowhere close to their 2nd biggest PPV of the year

Victory Road is nowhere close to their 2nd biggest PPV of the year I thought VIctory Road was supposed to be one of the big TNA PPVs? How does the heirarchy of TNA PPVS go? And is Hard Justice the lowest on the totem pole, by virtue of sounding like a bad porn title?

I dont know, at best, Victory Road would be 4th (BFG, Slammi, Lockdown)

I've never understood why Bound for Glory is TNA's Wrestlemania equivalent, rather than Slammiversary.

I've never understood why Bound for Glory is TNA's Wrestlemania equivalent, rather than Slammiversary. 1) It concluded the end of their first year of monthly pay per views. "Saving the best for last." 2) It coincided with the launch of Impact on Spike TV. It was the first PPV during the Spike TV era and, theoretically, with the newly inflated audience. 3) Whoever was planning this dropped the ball. Majorly.

Victory Road was the 1st 3 hour PPV they ever ran I believe.
Jarrett has said that while Bound For Glory is the big one, Slammiversary is the one closest to his heart.
I would argue that Destination X is the #4 but they really don't treat it that way. Against All Odds?

Even though it was was the twelfth traditional pay-per-view TNA produced, Bound for Glory was technically the first show ever announced. The show, which featured a sketch of an old-timey suitcase covered in stickers as a logo, was to be based around Hulk Hogan's quest for Jeff Jarrett's NWA World Title. While both the feud and the show obviously didn't happen, the push for "Bound for Glory" (and Hogan, for that matter) did produce two things: 1) It marked Jimmy Hart's first run in TNA. 2) This:

It's Mickey Mouse!! ;D Seriously though if it is by some chance The Rock, it WILL be huge IF they decide to promote it. When Jeff Hardy debuted it was cool because of the surprise factor, but The Rock, having his multimedia presence, is somebody you have to promote that is coming in.

TNA doesn't have the funds to pay the Rock what he'd want.
