Yep, with a match that's bound to involve highspots, the last thing either Jericho or Bourne would want is for the ring to become slippery as it's asking for one of them to land in their head. It seems a little like overkill but rules exist for a reason.

Bottom line. Don't throw liquids in the ring. Droz, common sense, yadda yadda.

When Bryan Danielson went to Chikara, people threw ties in the ring. Thats just asking for a massacre. I need to see this! Just as a guess, I'd say WWE would be ok with streamers during ring introductions, as long at it was only then. Still, I wouldn't throw them unless I knew for a fact that it was OK. Drinks however? I don't care if it's a toddler, they shouldn't be throwing slippery matter into an area where people are running around and doing flippidydoos. The kid knew he wasn't to throw anything. I've only been to one house show, but the "Don't throw stuff, and if you don't want your picture on Raw next week, get out" warning at the start of the show was louder than a loud thing.

Sounds to me like Jericho just kayfabed to turn standard procedure into heel heat.
I'm pretty sure the kid would have been thrown out regardless, Jericho just turned it into heel heat upon himself.

Jericho did the right thing - you've got to nip stuff like that in the bud.
In San Francisco at a house show I was at, when Jericho and Punk were both in the ring there must have been a few dozen cups of beer and slushie thrown into the ring. Jericho had some people thrown out by security then too.
If you let one person do it - then everyone else thinks its okay and then it becomes a real problem.
Plus - people who throw drinks at performers are trash anyway and deserve to be kicked out of the venue.

Throwing crap on a wrestler means you're a douche. People got decked in the territory days for this.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable "if it were Cena or Mysterio in Jericho's shoes, everyone here would be s***ting all over them for it" response.
But yeah, bottom line is, you don't throw drinks during a match, especially when lots of high spots are involved. Droz learned that the hard way. If it's during a crucial heel promo or something (Cena turning heel or something along that magnitude), it's not AS bad. I mean Jericho was pelted with DX glow sticks during a promo not too long ago, and all he did was get "mad" and storm out of the ring.

In San Fran in March Jericho and Punk were pelted with drinks and several people were thrown out. Throwing drinks is just dangerous.

He didn't punch the fan for once at least... You say it as if he goes out of his way to punch anybody he can find on a daily basis, apposed to an isolated incident which was simply self defense.

This sounds like it was preplanned to me. If it was an adult, I would tend to believe it was legit, but a young kid...no. In all likelyhood, he probably had it planned all along to get heat since that in fact would get great heat. Plant's in the crowd is old school and sounds just like something jericho would do. But Besides that, I have a very hard time believing jericho would have a young kid thrown out of the building even if the little booger threw a drink.

I'm sure he can handle some beer. I'm laughing at the thought of the kid drinking beer and looking like a small Sandman the whole time. Honestly though I think the kid should be thrown out. After what happened to Droz there's no excuse for it.

While things shouldn't be thrown, more and more I get the sense that Jericho is a complete asshole.

I thought that first incident was a work.
At one RAW I went to, someone threw a beer....which landed on a cops head.

It looked like the boy and his father were thrown out of the building, that is, unless you know the secrets...

You gotta admit though, it would be kind of awesome if he did. I can see why they did this. Sucks that a kid had to be thrown out, but they do warn you before the shows not to throw stuff and I can see why they don't take it lightly after Droz.
