I haven't been on these forums that long, so what was the general reaction to Colt's debut in WWE? Was it a 'yay Colt's on TV in WWE!' or 'Colt's a jobber with a stupid name!'
I loved it, it was great to see him on TV, the name change didn't bother me at all and he was allowed to be fun and entertaining.
Of course, it didn't last long and I hope he gets another shot in WWE in the future.
Also just noticed how much his voice is like Matt Striker's.

I still say he should have been introduced as "The Rabid Rabbi" Scott Goldman.
License to print money, I tell you.

I personally think he would have gotten over HUGE if he had The Hebrew Hammer as his manager. Just imagine the adventures they would have had, and the hi-jinks and shenanigans they would get into.

I always found him to be really over hyped by all the fans of his indy stuff...and I wasn't shocked to find out how boring he was as a wrestler and how unfunny he was as a promo guy.

He and Claudio are both can't miss prospects in my opinion.
Of course, they've already missed once with Colt, so what do I know.

Off-topic, but Kendrick's finisher was fantastic. One of the coolest-looking moves I've seen invented during this generation.

It was "wow! This dude's cool!" I also was fine with "Scotty Goldman" because I think "Colt Cabana" is a stupid name.

He denied the Visa Issues when they came up. Saying he had both a valid work visa and a green card, so he's completely legal to work in the USA

If they had any sense they would've teamed him with Punk.
They stuff they did in ROH was gold.

I really think that Colt had a lot to offer WWE. In the PG era (where its geared towards children), his comedic ring style/promos would have been a huge hit with kids. He would've put Santino or Eugene to shame both in promos and matches. That guy can sell merchandise like nobodies business on the indies, let alone the money he could have made WWE with their huge promotional prowess. Like another poster said, he was a can't miss prospect made for WWE.

Never been a Colt fan. I can understand why people like him but he's just not my cup of tea.
Plus he has freaking awful ring gear. That singlet is so unflattering!

I was never that impressed by the guy in any promotion. Definately agree. I even checked out his indy stuff but his style of humor i find more annoying then anything. He reminded me of the fat kid who did cartman impressions or the computer nerd that walked around quoting monty python..just annoying not funny.

Cabana always struck me as one of those guys who thought he was much funnier than he actually was. I really liked the guy as a member of the Second City Saints in ROH, but after Punk left I realized that was more because Punk was the perfect straight man moreso than Cabana being a talented babyface.
