Saw the Vampire on ECW against Guido and I have to say I was impressed.
He had a good look, some awesome moves and a manager/valet that is different from the usual.
With some effort and a touch of luck I think he could go far ... further than Gangrel ever did anyway.
your thoughts?

I found him to be vary bland. Outside of Shelly, I was bored by this showing. But different strokes for different peeps.

Ahh, that's Mordecai for ya. Still bland even after 2 years being removed from SmackDown. Shelly is different. DEFINITELY. And not in the Luna kind of way *hears thunder in the background*.

Loved the Stunner off the ropes. A much cooler finisher than his Razor's Edge. When you do something like that Stunner, it's foolish to ask anyone to buy the Razor's Edge as being the move that actually does a guy in, no matter how well sold. The Edge is a great finisher, so long as you don't upstage it in the transition. Sorry, I just loved that Stunner spot, and Guido sold like a king.
And this, after I read a topic about old finishers now being used as transition moves and read, "The Stunner will never be one of those moves. At least not any time soon."

Saw him work a house show for ECW, I wasn't too impressed with his in ring work, but Ill give him a shot.

I'm still used to seeing him with White hair and such.
But I thought he did rather well for his first outing with his new gimmick.
And Ariel/Shelly is a great addition.
They need to get Gangrel in shape to challenge him, though. I'm clamoring to see his entrance and hear his music again.

I liked the Stunner off the ropes, and that should've been his finisher, but he was rather ordinary and bland,IMO.
His valet, Ariel/Shelley I don't mind as much.

They do have Gangrel under contract, so it could happen
i liked the Vampire, his match wasnt a match as such, it was a 'look what i can do' showcase. I was impressed. But then i was impressed when he was Mordecai, very dominating, although the commentating being almost......annoyed(?) by the gimmick, talking about not knowing what was going on or what the interaction between him and Arial/Shelly was in the tone they did was a bit irritating - they're there to put the guys over, not bash them for what creative gives them or act like they just couldnt care

I was hoping he would be wearing a baseball cap, so Jim Cornette could come out and slap him.

Funny thing is, I said that a couple of days ago. Within DAYS, a modified Stunner is used as a transitional move after I said it wouldn't. Amazing. I can't wait for the Pedigree to be used the same way.

It's also a "different" character, so there is a place to go with this. And last I heard, Gangrel is going to be in ECW. They're going to tie these two in together somehow.

I think he's a good wrestler, but they need to lose the vampire gimmick..... and the pathetic show that he's on.

Is Fertig the only wrestler to ever keep his finisher when switching gimmicks?
Because the Razor's Edge was his finisher when he was Mordecai.
And I'm talking extreme (no pun intended) examples. I mean a guy goes from one zany gimmick to another zany gimmick but keeps the finisher (not guys like Scott Hall, who had to abandon the Razor Ramon gimmick and start going by his real name)

Being that the Undertaker is Fertig's favorite wrestler it makes sense... but I saw a lot of the old-school Undertaker in him. Very methodical, and even when Guido tried to get offense in... all Vampire did was move forward in what he was trying to do beforehand.
Here's hoping he gets an honest chance.
