 The last few seasons of the original Punk'd were terrible without Ashton around to appear on camera. Ashton carried that show with their cutaways to him having a ball/making a snide comment. Don't think it will be the same with Justin. When Ashton revealed himself, people's reactions were legendary. When Justin attempts to do it, they'll say "Whose lost child is this?" Show will fail without The Farmhand! |

What the hell? Ashton Kutcher worked because Ashton kinda seems like a douche. The fun kind of douche you'd like to hang out with, but still a douche. Bieber doesn't seem like a douche to me. The host HAS to have a douche-like aura to them for it to work.

Makes sense. The kid's ultra popular, if you want to bring in viewers, that'd be a way to do it.
Never was a fan of the original anyway, don't see myself watching this.
Besides, Dick Clark and Ed Mcmahon are the originators anyhow.. perhaps Alan Funt. Jus sayin.
I got no issue with this though. Popular kid + series revival would seem to = ratings pretty easily

The host HAS to have a douche-like aura to them for it to work. Did you hear recent story about Bieber posting someone's phone number online out of spite? I think that qualifies him as a douche. Not to mention I can see the "closet" douche within him underneath all of the hair and "innocence". I hope I'm not the only one who see's it too. |
