EXCLUSIVE: Major Hardy/WWE Update; SD! Incident, Much More by Nick Paglino Sep 13, 2010
According to a well placed source within WWE, much of the locker room is said to be furious with Matt Hardy, with some talent reportedly feeling he should be released from the company.
The consensus opinion of both talent and several of the road agents is that Hardy is often, to put it mildly, less than 100 percent, and seems to always have an excuse available as to why he cannot work.
The situation came to an apparent head last week when Hardy showed up the September 5th Smackdown house show event in White Plains, NY, only to disappear from the building without notice. WWE officials had to replace Hardy on the event card, and no explanation was given as to where he went.
In light of the events which took place this weekend during WWE's European tour, WWE management has told talent that tomorrow will be a quote "big day for Matt Hardy."
While there are those in TNA who are thinking this could be a chance to reunite The Hardy Boyz, one look at the video Matt posted from the overseas tour should tell everyone he needs to address some issues before being considered for anything in the near future.
Be sure to keep checking back to WZ frequently as this developing story unfolds.

In keeping with the vibe of this thread.
Matt Hardy is a soulless land whale.

While it's still interesting (I love that "big day" quote), that news is pretty outdated for the Matt Hardy story. I was almost sure this would be about his release.

He's gotten that bad? Cut him then.

By the sounds of it, I think Matt's had enough.
I doubt many would would tune into TNA to see the Hardy Boyz ( as Jeff didn't make an overly considerable impact), so it might be best for all parties to cut the chord.

If it's true, I'm not really gonna be bugged if he's gone. Matt Hardy's been coasting since getting hired back on after the whole Edge/Lita incident.

Not only is it outdated, but it is copy and pasted. They did not even try to change the wording. It also does not appear that hey credited the original source that wrote what they copied and pasted.

Hmmm... Let's have a closer look at this story.
- 6 days ago, according to Wrestlezone's sources, tomorrow would be a big day for Matt Hardy - 5 days ago, no Hardy news - 4 days ago, Hardy has a little interweb argument with Paul London (Read: No significant Hardy news) - 3 days ago, no Hardy news - 2... you see where I'm going here.
You'd think after all these years, WWE and TNA would be able to silence these leaks. These leaks which are true roughly 34.2% of the time. You know, if I was more cynical about these worthless leeches, I'd say that this story is and was made up by Leonard F. Wrestlezoneson because he thought there might be a chance that Matt Hardy was on his way out the door, then when he was fired, he could lay claim to being the first person to break the news, therefore turning more people over to his site and making him more money.
But as I said, I'd need to be a cynic.

But as I said, I'd need to be a cynic. In my view, the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. For all we know, this could have been the series of events: 1) Matt did get in trouble and was benched for real. 2) The websites all reacted quickly and more significantly than they do for other midcarders who run afoul with management (honestly, how many posts, articles, and threads were dedicated to Shelton Benjamin losing his job? There is a sizable difference). 3) Matt then posted his "I am still in London" video in response to it all. 4) Matt was then taken to task by management, but they had seen the response online and were reminded of how people reacted to his release 5 years ago by the websites trying to make a big deal about it. This might have prompted them to not pull the trigger on releasing him. 5) Matt might have talked them into trying to take advantage of it all by working another worked shoot. Perhaps they are going to try to work an angle where Punk tried to make it a clean sweep in his efforts to rid the WWE of the Hardy's, but this time he tried to use backstage tactics like a b**** rather than face him like a man.

Considering they STILL haven't let Matt go, and how long it took for them to dump Carlito, what exactly DOES one have to do to get themselves released when they WANT out?

I really hope if Matt does get released, he ends up in TNA and does 4 straight superplexes in his first match.

Consequences won't ever be the same for Matt. How long will it be before he gets reported to the Cyber Police?
