Here's the updated model, they went a more realistic route with his hair as well. I'm usually not one of the Hardy bashers... but that is brilliant. nor am I, (well until now) I just hate his mid-match jerry curl. I think it's far worse than his belly and deserves just as much attention. |

Speaking of, we ever find out what those arenas on the menu thing were? I think there were entirely too many of them for just the usual PPVs and main shows set, and think there'd need to be more than Tribute to the Troops to make up that amount.
In either case, though, the Bash arena looks awesome, and I love that the Hell in a Cell actually has a proper roof.

Wow. I preferred 09 to 10 but admit 10 was a more evolved game but that video makes the new one look like it leaves 10 in the dust.

The new reversal system looks awesome, especially how moves seem to have multiple counter animations (No joke, I love the idea of Sheamus escaping a powerbomb with a lucha libre armdrag), but I do have a few points:
1) I like the fact you have a button to chain a move to a pin, however I hope this doesn't mean certain variations are out. For instance, the game used to have a suplex followed by Jericho's old foot-on-chest pin, that floatover suplex RVD did, Chavo's spinning suplex, etc, or a back suplex with the Jerichop in and a version with a bridge. If it's just 1 version/pin for each I will be a little disappointed, I liked being able to give guys distinctive styles in how they did their moves.
2) It's probably his skintone making highlights invisible/ weird trunks tone but Sheamus looks like a CAW. In fact I think I prefer my Sheamus CAW from last year. It's absurd how pale he is.
3) The new weak grapple/strong grapple system has me split. If its like Fire Pro, great. However I have this horrible feeling its gonna be the old 4 grapple positions full of basic moves like strikes and basic suplexes, and you'll only get 4 slots in total for strong moves. I hope I'm wrong but SVR traditionally adds a feature, removes options. Plus, since they're on about realism and a lot of WWE guys have limited movesets, they could use the "its more accurate" argument.
4) Unless I've missed it somewhere and this has already been confirmed as in, I still wish every submission could earn a tapout/had a struggle submission. That hammerlock camel clutch Jericho has is awesome and would make for a cool win.
And just 1 minor thing- I hope theyve scrapped the awful camera angle changes for ringside action. The changes in angle depending on which apron you stood at really annoyed me. Much preferred how the early SVRs just kept the same angle for everything, made things look more flowing & connected.
I admit points 1 & 3 are purely speculation, but if there's one thing I've learned buying the SVR games its dont get your hopes up. I'd rather expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised.

They just CAN'T get the outside camera right, and I don't know why. It is absurd. Do they even test these things?
All this store-exclusive DLC is frustrating...I wish we knew for sure which ones were already in-game, which ones will be available later, and which ones will never be available otherwise.

I've made the decision that I'm not even going to buy this game until somebody makes a Curt Hawkins CAW for PS2. I refuse to play without Gatecrashers.  I could do that for you. I am quite good at CAWS if I don't say so myself. |
