Interim coach Leslie Frazier confirmed that Brett Favre sustained a concussion in Monday night's loss to the Bears.
Frazier also confirmed that Joe Webb, not Patrick Ramsey, would start if Favre doesn't gain clearance to play by Sunday. The general consensus is that Favre has played his last game, but that was also the general consensus at this time last week. Other quarterbacks have started games this season just a week removed from a concussion. Favre joked after last night's game that he should have walked off after his opening-drive touchdown pass

T.O. will not be a Bengal next season.Good. I said back when they signed him that I wanted nothing to do with him. The fact that he produced a great season before his injury and they still don't want him back speaks volumes. Same old Terrell Owens. And as always, here's hoping Marvin Lewis and Carson Palmer, and hell, even Ocho, follow him out the door. Blow it up. Keep the great young defensive pieces, lock up Cedric Benson, and begin rebuilding with Andrew Luck if at all possible. Does this mean the end of the T.Ocho Show?

Chad Ochocinco concedes that he might not be back with the Bengals in 2011.
"Changes will be made and they'll be significant," said Ocho. To this point, he had sounded confident that he would return to the Bengals despite his $6 million option. Bengals owner Mike Brown has shown in the past that he places an extremely high value on Ochocinco, but the franchise also seems to be in line for an offensive facelift in the coming offseason.

Their mutual love for one another is almost homoerotic I get that they have a mutual respect for one another, as evidenced by this YouTube video: That being said, there's no way I can envision Chad Ochocinco with the Patriots in 2011 or beyond. They just removed a malcontent receiver from their roster, and somehow got significantly better because of it. Wes Welker and Deion Branch are having spectacular seasons, Brandon Tate is developing into a formidable big play target, and Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez are arguably the best 1-2 tight end options in the NFL. From watching his various TV shows, Ochocinco still believes that he can perform at an elite level, and can still be a number one receiver with almost any franchise. While his skill set would be a welcome addition to the Patriots receiving corps, everything else he brings to the table is a negative. He's moody, inconsistent, egotistical, emotional and arrogant; all traits that Randy Moss displayed in his final weeks as a Patriot.

I honestly think Belichick would take that chance, if only on a 2 year contract or something of the sort. Then again, I have no vested interest in it either way.

I honestly think Belichick would take that chance, if only on a 2 year contract or something of the sort. Then again, I have no vested interest in it either way. I feel like it's easier to keep a malcontent running back happy as opposed to a malcontent wide receiver. An upper-level running back can touch the ball 20-25 times a game, as a runner or receiver. An upper-level receiver will be targeted maybe 10-15 times a game. Also, when the Patriots traded for Corey Dillon, their running back options were Antowain Smith, Kevin Faulk and Mike Cloud. It wasn't like he was traded to be a cog in a system; he was acquired to be a number one running back. Chad Ochocinco would be coming into a system with Wes Welker, Deion Branch, Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski as already established targets. This wouldn't a re-hashing of the Randy Moss deal, where he was brought in with the specific objective of being Tom Brady's savior. Ochocinco would only be brought in as just another target, which I don't think is a role in which he is mentally prepared for.

While I certianly see what you're saying, but I think (and maybe this is oversimplifying) that the very real shot at a ring would be enough for Chad to come play here and keep himself more or less in check.

I don't know, when I watched him play in the Colts game and Ochocinco's extreme efforts was the main reason that the Bengals were even in that game. Seriously, he was killing himself out there. He may not have always done that, but I saw him making plays and grabbing spectacular catches when it was obvious that he had no feeling in his left arm after a huge hit early in the game (that arm of his just dangled prior to the snap for half the game).

As much as I'd love it to happen, Favre would be an idiot to try with all the blitz packages and Asante wanting nothing more than to pick off Favre all day and definitely try to go for his last pass. If Favre is insistant on trying to return, he should take the week off and see if he can get a little more better for Detroit. Granted, it's not the Detroit of the last two years... but they're much close to the Vikings league if he wants to try to leave with a win. Granted in the eyes of most of America, that game wouldn't be much to gain for the Vikings and a hell of a lot more of a sting in a loss.
