The Christmas Shoes - Tries way, way, way too hard at being heartfelt.

Favorite, pretty much any classic. Anything by Mariah Carey or similar oversingers. This hits the nail on the head for me as well. Give me a classic over a lame remix or one of the new crappy Mariah Carey Christmas songs.

Best: Ray Charles - Little drummer boy Bruce Springsteen - Santa Claus is coming to town
Worst: The last 2 posts summed it up nicely.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

Favorite: Absolutely beautiful song, IMO. Always gets to me Least favorite: 'Do they know it's Christmas?" Sorry, but I can do without hearing a song at christmas about the 1984-85 famine in Africa 275 times a Christmas season. Anything by Mariah Carey or similar oversingers. Eh, I have a soft spot for 'All I want for Christmas is you' provided I dont hear it a hundred times a holiday season)

Favorite:
"Chiron Beta Prime" by Jonathan Coulton "Walking in the Air" by... I forget who did the original song, but I like it no matter who's performing. I guess this may not technically be a Christmas song, but I definitely associate it with Christmas (and I've heard performances of the song in several Christmas concerts) "Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)" by the Ramones
Least favorite:
Just about all the rest of them, except those by Weird Al. I generally can't stand Christmas songs at all.

Least Favourite - Almost any other one. Any by the X-Factor winners, or 'Simply having a wonderful Christmas time'.

Favourite: The complete SantaMental album from Steve Lukather, beside him you have Eddie van Halen, Steve Vai, Edgar Winter, Mike Landau, Slash, John Pierce, Jeff Babko, Greg Bissonette, Simon Philips and Lenny Castro jamming through all the Christmas classics like Jingle Bells and Joy to the World. Nothing will ever beat this awesomness ;D Least Favourite: Nobody said Wham - Last Christmas so far? I'm shocked

The one that I really don't understand the gushing about is "Silent Night". It seemed to be everyone's favorite in the elementary school I went to.

Favorite: Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Carol of the Bells, O Holy Night, Bob Seger's rendition of "Little Drummer Boy"
Least Favorite: Christmas Shoes
The most happy, festive time of year, and what do they play? A song about a kid wanting to buy his terminally ill mom shoes so that she looks good in case she dies on Christmas Eve.[/u] I understand that the meaning is supposed to be that some people can be truly giving during this time of year and to cherish the time that you have with your family, but this song is just WAY too depressing for my tastes.
