It's been a while but we're back with style.
Thank you Teletoon Retro for reminding me how great this cartoon was.

Man, that themesong brings back a thousand and one memories...all of them revolving around watching a tv when I was five years old, but eh, memories.

Dude I totally remember as a kid having a massive crush on Jeanette and Brittany from the Chipettes. What? Back then I didn't actually know the Chipettes were chipmunks. I thought they were humans! They didn't have fur in the cartoon!

Forget those blobs of CGI fecal matter, kids.
THESE ARE THE CHIPMUNKS.

THESE ARE THE CHIPMUNKS. I didn't even think the movies were THAT bad. Sure they're not as good as the cartoon, but they're far from the worst movie to toon adaptation.

I think this might have been the first TV theme song I used to sing along with as a kid.

They didn't have fur in the cartoon! Detailed fur's harder to animate. Pixar had a hell of a time with it in Monsters Inc. I don't *hate* the CGI movies per se, as they do the Chipmunks justice, but the 80's cartoon had more heart to it.
