Red State begins by following three horny high-school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges. But what begins as a fantasy takes a dark turn as they come face-to-face with a terrifying 'holy' force with a fatal agenda.
What I love is how what brings the 3 guys into harms way (and moves the plot along) sounds like something out of Kevin Smith's previous comedic fiilms. In fact I'm kinda imagining something out of Clerks 2 when Randall is telling Elias about why he always wanted to see a donkey show. Instead just replace "see a donkey show" with the above scenario.
I have a podcast "Nothing's Funny with Jeff & Josh". We have a Halloween episode up as of today (October 31st appropriately enough).
It just looks like a fairly generic take on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," but with John Goodman.
Yeah that is exactly what i thought when I read the synopsis. I have a sinking feeling about the title and the apparent religious zealotry in the trailer. (I am treading carefully so as not to do a political type post)It may be Smith's way of sending a political messageabout the opposite side of his political um..views. I dunno, i'll watch when it comes out and we shall see
