With the year coming to a close, how would you rate this year for you overall?
I would say it was decent, nothing special. It started out rough with a job that I completely hated, I was let go in April. Found a job as a truck driver briefly, and was release two weeks later because they didn't think I was ready. Went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures with my brother and we stayed in a luxurious hotel. Got a job at the Olive Garden in June which I kept since and my friend let me have Thanksgiving with his family(I'm not too close with mine).
My new years resolution for 2011 is pretty simple. This year being better than last.
How about you?

Probably my best year of my life so far. I attended WM26 (3rd in a row), got a job as a broadcaster for an arena football team in my area, working towards my Media degree in college, met a lot of new people, and strengthened relationships with friends.

It was better than 2009, and that's all that matters.

Horrible. Undoubtedly my worst year ever.

I had a Sergio Leone type year. Some good, some bad, and some ugly. Actually, quite a bit of ugly. But as I learned years ago from another Clint Eastwood Western, I must endeavor to persevere ...

Pretty good year. Especially compared to the last two.
Christmas looks to only make it better.

Pretty lousy. It started off great -- an exciting new job in my desired field. Turns out, my boss was a hateful, horrible human being who treated his employees like garbage and he still owes me $2000 after I quit in July. I'll probably never see that money. (I have a friend who is owed $4000 who is in a much more dire situation.)
The year didn't get any better after I left, as I haven't been able to get a main job again this year, which is a bummer. 2009 was 10x better. I'm also resigning a lease I'm reluctant about as my city seems dried up of jobs in my field, but I don't have any options for a place to go right now.
On the flip side, I would be a jerk to discount the awesome things I had: tons of shows, lots of trips, good food, I saw old friends, and I kept up a somewhat steady stream of freelance work, even if I have lost chunks of my sanity.

Worst year ever! I'm not even going to get into the whole thing, but I hope 2011 is better. If it's not, I'm going to start firebombing.

Worst and Best year of my life:
Worst because: We held my Grandma's funeral (it'll be a year since she died Monday) Aunt and Uncle showed true colors Pretty much the rest of my family sided with my Aunt and we don't talk to them anymore. Dad had 2 mini strokes giving him mild Parkinson's (first one was on his birthday at Disney World.)
Best because: The mini strokes didn't do as much damage as they could have. Transferred from Binghamton to American. LOVE DC. My little sister got married in a nice ceremony. Found out I may be getting my first step into the career I want (Archiving historical documents.) Lost 40 pounds
It was a odd year to say the least.

Worse than the year before because I couldn't find a job on what I'm studying in college (Informatic).

Pretty bad overall, but looking up.
From about mid-2009 to August, 2009 my life had turned into a nightmare. I was living in a place far too expensive and rather than letting me out of my lease, my asshole landlords were always threatening to evict me. Because I spent pretty much everything on rent I couldn't afford bare essentials like food, toilet paper, laundry money, etc.
I worked two part time jobs as a tutor and freelancing reporter. I probably could have made more money from these, but I had to travel everywhere on a very limited bus route or walk. I have to mention here that I was living in Orange County, California at the time where if you were like me and did not have a car you were f***ed.
Luckily, in late 2009, early 2010, I scrapped the money together I needed to apply to grad school. I remember in December, 2009 even having to sell all my old course books for far less than they were worth to just to get $100 to apply to Columbia University, my dream school. In May I found out I got into Columbia and finally managed to move to New York City right before classes started in August.
Being originally from Massachusetts I am just so glad to finally be home on the East Coast. I will NEVER go back to California again unless I have a guaranteed job there and it is a VERY lucrative offer, not to mention a car.

It was a average year. Nothing too bad happened. This year was the year of wedding for me. I went to 5 in about a 3 month spand.

2010 was looking a lot like 2009 for me. I'd been laid off from my job in January 2009, and was out of work for most of 2010 as well.
Fortunately, I found a job that I am growing to like that I started in November, making the end of 2010 feel a lot better than the rest of 10 and almost all of 09.

I had a horrible 2010. The less said the better. Bring on 2011 though, a little positivity doesn't hurt.
