Just saw the Fantastic Mr. Fox film over the holidays. It's amazing. I had no idea Wes Anderson directed it, I would have definately seen it before now had I known that.
The animation was gorgeous, the music was inspired, the voice work fantastic, and it was actually really funny! Very quirky and different, I loved it. I've been saying 'cuss' instead of swear words since I saw it!
Any other opinions on this amazing film? The book is one of my all time favourites too.

I loved it.
My favorite animated film of 2009.
I thought it should've won the Oscar for best animated film.

I loved it. My favorite animated film of 2009. I thought it should've won the Oscar for best animated film. I loved Up a lot too, but I think Fantastic Mr. Fox is better. Up ranged from the brilliant and beautiful in some moments to the not so great in others, while FMF I feel is stunning from start to finish.

I thought it would be crap because it's not that close to the book, then I saw it on a plain this year and was very pleasantly surprised.

Watched it on Christmas Day and yes it was very good. If anything I love how downbeatall the voice characters are as opposed to the 'in your face' Disney voice characters

I love the dialogue in the movie. "Your not a good lab partner." "Yes I am." "No your not. Your disloyal."

I loved it. My favorite animated film of 2009. I thought it should've won the Oscar for best animated film. I absolutely agree. The...um...jerkiness(?) of the stop-motion animation meshed perfectly with the overall grittiness of the story and the wry humor. I especially loved when the foxes started to dig.

One of my favorite recent animated films. This, Kung Fu Panda and Despicable Me are what I cite when people say only Pixar can make quality animated films nowadays.

Dreamworks is catching up, but Pixar is still the gold standard. Fantastic Mr. Fox was...fantastic...but Up managed to cram more emotion in the first 5 minutes than most movies do in an hour. Oscar win for the opening sequence alone.

I need to get it on Blu-Ray sometime. I loved it! Especially the bizarre feeling you get when it really sinks in that you're watching a Wes Anderson movie...but it's animated. With animals.

Bought it on DVD (along with Pee Wee's Big Adventure), and plan on watching it later.
