Inspired by reading a bunch of YouTube comments (yes, I KNOW how sad that is...)
In the mid-60's, there was a British band by the name of Spencer Davis Group. They had a string of hits, my personal favorite being "Gimme Some Lovin'."
Its not exactly a secret or anything, but there are actually two versions of the song; the original UK release, and an American release. The UK version is pretty straight forward, with no backing vocals whatsoever. The US release, however, features additional backing vocals, handclaps, and of course, cowbell.
I've been reading that a lot of people prefer the US version due to the added bells and whistles, and I have to say, that kinda drives me nuts. I way, way more enjoy the beautiful simplicity of the original UK release, and honestly can't stand the US version.
The question is, which do you prefer?
This has been a internet post about the Spencer Davis Group in the year 2010.

UK Version all the way. Never liked the U.S. one.

Eh, as far as I'm concerned, they're both good.

Of the two you have there, it is USA all the way, not some much because of added bells and whistles, but because the UK on just sounds like an awful recording, nothing is evened out or mixed well.

The US cut makes it seem like you're in more of a party atmosphere. So that.

Hey, I was going to make a similar post. This song will always be synonymous with the Cole Trickle bad driving montage.
