There have been a lot of threads lately about lousy moments and episodes in The Simpsons. I have enjoyed the majority of the episodes, but I find that when I go through the DVDs (I have seasons 1-12), there aren't a lot of episodes that I feel particularly inspired to watch. I might have enjoyed 20 episodes of a season, but I can rarely find more than 2 or 3 that I feel like watching when I pull out an old DVD set.
What are some that you still enjoy watching?
A few that come to mind for me are Homer the Great (the Stonecutters episode), Two Bad Neighbors (George H. W. Bush), and You Only Move Twice (Hank Scorpio).

Homer at the Bat. Probably my favorite episode of any tv show, ever. Same here, man. Every time I watch it, I laugh so hard that my eyes tear up. Darryl Strawberry is so damn funny.

Yeah, I agree about Homer Badman is more funnier now. I just saw the episode for the first time in years today (I got Season 6 and Season 7 for X-mas and these are the first two Simpsons dvds that I own).

The two with Homer's half-Brother Herb.
Danny Devito cracks me up in both, especially with the baby translator.
"This leash demeans us both!"

With a few exceptions, I find just about anything from seasons 3-9 to be quite enjoyable, but I think my three all time favourite episodes are "Marge vs. the Monorail," "Cape Feare," and "Bart Sells his Soul."

Just look at my avatar. That right there is the funniest image in the history of televison. "...I will tap my belt buckle not once, not twice, but thrice! However I can reverse that decision by dusting my hands off thusly..." is one of my favourite Mr Burn's lines ever. Not as great as his original picks for the team though... Mr. Burns: I've decided to bring in a few ringers, professional baseballers. We'll give them token jobs at the plant and have them play on our softball team. Honus Wagner, Cap Anson, Mordecai "Three-Finger" Brown... Smithers: Uh, sir? Mr. Burns: What is it, Smithers? Smithers: I'm afraid all of those players have retired and, uh... passed on. In fact, your right-fielder has been dead for a hundred and thirty years.
