Can't find the other thread, so this will suffice for the time being... Rumor/News section on RockBandAide.com states that there's strong rumors of a Doors pack, with 3 songs being released free on release date (no date on the remainder of the rumored "Doors Pack") The free songs include: - Riders on the Storm
- Light My Fire
- Touch Me
With the Doors track pack rumored to be: - Hello, I Love You
- LA Woman
- Love Me Two Times
- Peace Frog
- People are Strange
- Roadhouse Blues
- Soul Kitchen
- The Crystal Ship
This goes along with Harmonix recently announcing that 12 songs from the upcoming Bon Jovi Greatest Hits album will be released "after Rock Band 3's release" (so it will be Pro Mode ready and such), but the songs haven't been officially announced yet. Furthermore, for the 3 of us who downloaded Pearl Jam songs from a year ago, there's pictures floating around online that show that some of the DLC songs (like Even Flow, Jeremy, and a few others) have vocal harmonies in addition to Pro Drum mode (but, to be fair, every song released so far will be Drum Pro Mode ready right out of the gate if you buy the Pro Mode drum kit add ons).

Which is the price of the bundle? I will ask for the basic rock band beatles bundle for birthday, and Now I want to buy RB3 with the keyboard Lucky. In the United States here, they can't sell the keyboard bundle for some odd reason. Only the PS3 bundle doesn't exist. Not as many people bought the PS3 version as the 360 version, so Harmonix probably (my speculation, no evidence to support it) figured it'd be financially a better idea to just release them separately. The 360 Keys bundle (just the game and the keys) is US$129.99. The keyboard by itself is, I believe US$79, so you're only saving $10 by buying the bundle. There's supposed to be a few additional songs released on release day, including "Blue Monday" (New Order, not Orgy), "Burning Down the House" (Talking Heads), and "My Own Summer" (Deftones). The story I'm understanding with DLC is the cost is going to be the same (160 funbucks or $2), and an additional 80 funbucks/$1 for "Pro Mode". Still a better deal than buying a new game every 4 months like Activision demands...

To clarify: the extra pro-mode costs for DLC is ONLY for the Guitar/Bass track, since they're totally different from the regular game. Pro-mode drums and keyboards (and vocals, if they exist?) are included in the base DLC. In fact, Harmonix recently said that all the pro mode data for Drums has been in the series since the first Rock Band, so you'll be able to enjoy Pro Mode Drums immediately for your entire Rock Band library.
Blue Monday, Burning Down the House, and My Own Summer are free bonuses for pre-ordering at Gamestop. Guess they'll be regular DLC for everyone else?
Not sure if the pre-order bonus covers Pro-Mode Guitar track or not.

Not sure if the pre-order bonus covers Pro-Mode Guitar track or not. You are correct in a sense of the Pro Mode pricing. It will be normal price for Pro-Mode Drums AND Keys, but you'll have to pay a dollar (or 80 funbucks) extra for Pro Mode for the guitar (which you will have to pay a buttload for that guitar, which I'm probably not going to do for a long while) and bass. This works out for me, as I only play drums anymore (FINALLY beat Panic Attack on expert with the drum kit add-on, imitating Pro mode, a few months ago, so I think I'm ready for whatever RB3 throws my way...) There's no "Pro mode" vocals, but there is harmonies.

I don't get this, I had to unlock the pro mode in all the songs that came with the game with funbucks?

I don't get this, I had to unlock the pro mode in all the songs that came with the game with funbucks? No. All the songs in Rock Band 3 have "regular" mode, and pro mode. The songs we are talking about having to pay extra for is DLC only. And only DLC released 26 October and on. There are rumors Harmonix is going back to update previous songs that aren't Pro-Mode ready (keys and guitar/bass), and update them to be Pro Mode in RB3.

Yeah, I'm going to wait a long while to get a pro mode guitar and keyboard. Just getting the RB3 disc for now to "upgrade the engine," so to speak.
I really want that Squier Stratocaster guitar/controller hybrid, though. I imagine it'll be quite expensive, but considering it's both an RB pro mode controller and an entry-level electric guitar, it's a nice value.

So apparently Billy Joel's camp has announced that a "dozen of his songs are to appear in Rock Band 3".
This is, according to the article, all because a critic was watching an episode of "The Office" in which they talk about Billy Joel in Rock Band, and how the critic thought "God forbid that ever happen", so Billy Joel, being the awesome guy he is, told his people to "Get him in Rock Band ASAP".
He wrote a letter to the critic, stating:
"...every time I get a check, I’ll give him a little nod..."
...so... the big question is what are the songs going to be?

I'd LOVE to see Miami 2017 in. That's my favorite Billy Joel song and a great one to sing along to.

Seems obvious but "We Didn't Start the Fire" will kick ass on the mic and should be a party favorite.
