I like dragons. Dragons are cool. They're huge, they're tough, they can fly, they breath fire and they're exceptionally tough. But which type is your favorite? Here are the descriptions of what I mean:
European: Two legs that allow them to stand up and grab stuff. Two wings replacing the front legs.
Asian: Snake-like body. Four legs. No wings. Apparently they are very fast.
Modern: Similar to the European one, but has an extra pair of legs which are usually used as arms. They also have an appearance closer to that of dinosaurs.
Godzilla: Kind of a sub-genre of the modern dragon, adapted to the Asian one. This one has no wings and, instead of fire, breathes some kind of nuclear... thing. So in case you survive the burns, congratulations! You win cancer.
Oh and do NOT depict them as dinosaurs or they will unleash their most brutal, violent, deadly weapon: fanboys.
Cartoon: Parody dragons. Goofy looks. Small wings (if any). Can be based on any of the other types, but most of them look like the European ones. Those are usually nice, and if they aren't, they're hilariously inefficient when it comes to killing stuff.
Weredragons: Seems to be a much more recent version, but more and more frequent. A character of human appearance can turn into a dragon. In some cases, they can control the transformation, but others follow the same idea as werewolves in that some conditions trigger it.
Hydra: Similar to the European or Asian, the main difference is that they have several heads. Bonus points if they gain new ones when one is cut.
Leviathan: A water version of dragons. Similar to the asian ones in looks. No legs. Those don't breathe fire, but their sheer size and strength allows them to cause unimaginable damage.
