Spent the $130 gift card my dad got me. $90+ of it went towards groceries. Hopefully I can make it last through the winter when work slows down and I won't be getting many hours. The rest of it I put towards the Chris Jericho DVD and the WWE Highest Flyers DVD. Only had to pay about $10.
Also, I returned my Ralph Wiggum shirt my sister got for me as I probably won't wear it much and might be the wrong size anyway (I could probably fit into a Large but I prefer XL). So I returned it, got a gift card and bought It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 5. It ended up being an even trade as the shirt cost $10 and the DVD was on sale for $10.
So that's it, other than the present I'm getting from my friends' Secret Santa gift exchange, which I'll probably get New Year's Eve.

I got: 1. Alot of cash (which I used to buy a 32" flat screen TV) 2. $70 in gift card to Gamestop (which I used today to get NASCAR 09 for the 360, a 360 points card (so I can download SVR11 stuff), a PS3 card (so I can download stuff for RDR), and Fallout 3 and Super Street Fighter IV) 3. New Vegas for the PS3 4. Some Shirts 5. A new wrestling mask 6. The Expendables, Transformers Season 2 Vol 1 and The Simpson's Vol 1 (which I have so I'm going to trade it in for another Season of the Transformers) 7. New wipers for my car 8. A wall clock for my living room 9. Various nick-knacks
I gave several cool gifts (or at least I thought so), like a Grinch shirt to my dad (it's his favorite holiday show), a slot car race track to my nephews, The Muppet's Christmas for my 3 sisters (it's their favorite holiday show), among the other gifts I gave to friends and relatives.
The best one of the bunch was the Bear's t-shirt I gave to a buddy of mine. The story goes is back in the end of November she was telling me that she was watching the Budlight playbook commercials and couldn't place Carl Weathers. She knew the name but couldn't think of his name and she didn't want to ask, knowing she was be busted on by family members for not knowing Apollo Creed. Well, about a week later, it was brought up and her dad (who I'm also friends with) didn't know who it was either, but both thought it was a guy who played linebacker for the Bears in '87 with Mike Singutary (sp?). Well, they finally looked it up on the internet and found out it was Weathers. So they told me the story, so I got the idea to go to the NFL's shop site and make up a shirt. On the front it says Monsters of the Midway, and on the back it says Creed on top, with the number 87 below it.

So far, with my Christmas money, I paid off a late fee I had for a long time, rented a couple movies, and bought this awesome Bowser plush. I rarely ever buy toys or plushes, but this was an exception. That plush is freaking awesome. And pretty massive too. Has to be at least 12 inches high. Thety had a few others like Boo and Chain Chomp (With actual chain), but I picke Bowser out of his sheer awesomeness.

Is there anybody else who doesn't get anything anymore, and if so, what age were you when your family decided "This is it"?

Best thing I got was seeing my family and my two adorable nieces. Seeing the one tear through paper and run around all happy was more than I needed.
But I also got a laptop from my parents. I love it, but I almost wish they hadn't gotten it, because it cost so much and it was an out-of-my-ass stab in the dark. Something I didn't have and wanted. They just do so much for us kids, I think as much for themselves as for us. I mean, I'm 36, and I get giddy around this time and so happy seeing my family open their presents, I think they do the same thing. It really is amazing.
I also got Fallout: New Vegas, some shirts, gift cards, and 2 new bedspreads. But being home...yeah, nothing can top that.

Wow...I take back what I said earlier. Despite giving out roughly $800 in gifts, I didn't receive a damn thing. I hate Christmas. Why no gifts? Because my family sucks. Plain and simple.

In my case it really hurts in the terms of gifts you get when the only family you have that's close enough to you to get you anything is a aunt that's so out of date that she doesn't know what a PS3 or a XBox 360 is,barely knows anything about dvds or gift cards & refuses to buy anything online. It really limits what you can expect to get.

Everyone gets presents at Christmas, there is no age limit in my opinion. I don't, and I haven't for 3 years now. On the one hand, it doesn't bother me too much, because my family are cold, distant people who only deal with each other out of a sense of obligation, so I don't expect much out of them one way or the other, but on the other hand, it bothers me that they are cold, distant people, because of the wider-reaching effects that has. That, and if I really bugged and annoyed my father to get me something just to get me something, he probably would, but it's more adult of me to not do so. I'd rather he just help me out when I run into emergencies, since he'll still do that from time. That's more important.
