Madness at Camden Lock in 2000. Magical evening, found out they were doing a free concert at 7pm... While watching the news at 6pm. Quickly got ready, picked up a friend and went there with haste. Enjoyed every minute, they did a good mixture of classic songs and new stuff from their album Wonderful.

I have been to literally hundreds of concerts in my life and my top 2 of all time both occurred this year.
At #2, Green Day did a really great 3 hour set with all kinds of crazyness going on (i.e. bringing up people up from the crowd to play their instruments and sing on songs, the most confetti I've ever seen in my life, all kinds of pyro, the whole backdrop being a videowall)
#1 by far, though, was Our Lady Peace performing "Clumsy" in its entirety followed by a second set of their other hits at a small theatre where there usually are plays happening, as opposed to concerts. Never seen a show in such a classy looking venue.

Pearl Jam in 2005. They weren't promoting an album at the time of the concert so they played most of the songs i wanted to hear. Can't wait for them to come back to Montreal.

Dream Theater and Opeth in their Progressive Nation gig in 2009. The first Nine Inch Nails gig I went to in 2005 is a close second.

Speaking of Progressive Nation, my favorite was Dream Theater/Queensryche/Zappa Plays Zappa/Bigelf/Scale the Summit in Baltimore, MD.
A close second would have to be any of the 3 Rush concerts I went to in 2002 for their comeback tour.

Queensryche's Building Empires tour in 90 was absolutely amazing. So was their Mindcrime 2 tour.

2002 when I saw the "new" Guns N' Roses. People are always going to hate on the non-classic GNR line up, but that 2002 show in Boston was incredible. Band took forever to get on stage, but when they did the show went to 2 AM The show even had some fairly big name opening acts with Mixmaster Mike and CKY.

The best concert I've ever attended? It has to be the 1992 World Dangerous Tour that Michael Jackson was on.
I was, and still am, a huge Michael Jackson fan who always wanted to be able to sing and dance like him. My mother brought tickets for my birthday as a surprise when we lived in Germany at the time.
My father and I took a bus to the Cologne, Germany arena where he was performing and after enduring two boring opening acts Michael appears from the bottom of the stage. Both of our feet was hurting waiting for him to appear, however, once the music started we forgot about our feet hurting and joined in on the dancing and singing.
Seeing Michael Jackson live is pure escapism at its finest and complete magic.

For me... Definitely Blink/FallOutBoy/Panic!AtTheDisco in Cincinnati August 2009. I wasn't really excited for FOB or PATD but they mainly played their old stuff which I love so that was awesome. Blink was the most fun act I've ever seen. It was crazy being there with 20,000+ people there going nuts. First giant atmosphere for me like that aside from Warped Tour which takes place there but is all over the place rather than the one stage.
Coheed this year in August was pretty good too up in Columbus. It was great but I wanted them to play everything haha it went by so quick. Plus The Dearhunter opened for them. Circa Survive did too and weren't as bad as I thought they'd be, they were pretty tolerable.
New Found Glory & Senses Fail in Nov. 07 was great too here in Cincinnati. NFG always puts a good show on. Aside from those, any Warped Tour ranks as my favorites too.

It's a two way tie for me.
1. Two years ago, I went to a college concert at UCR where N.E.R.D. was headlining. Their set was absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of the band, along with The Neptune's production in general, and the energy was through the effing roof. People were just going crazy and it's one of the happiest settings I've been in.
2. Ska in the Park 2010 in Pomona, CA. Big D and the Kids Table co-headlined with Fishbone. The energy was amazing as well and I was standing RIGHT in front of the barricade at the very middle, so I got to hold up band members as they did stage dives. It also had that "I can't believe I'm here" moments when Fishbone was performing some of my absolute favorite songs. Their singer's voice is just as good as it was in the early '90s and he managed to sing almost half of a song flawlessly WHILE crowd surfing. I was truly in awe.

Uhh, Saves The Day / Say Anything / Motion City Soundtrack, without question.
Three of my favorite bands, all drilled it home something epic.

Surprisingly, it was a Black Metal concert in a very small biker bar/club thing. I usually don't even like Black Metal, but you wanna know why I liked it so much? Because unlike most concerts I went to, it was with my friends (in fact, they invited me... about an hour earlier, when we met by chance in a fast-food restaurant ). The bands were surprisingly good for garage bands (OK, I think one of them was actually pro or at least semi-pro, but most were amateurs), and the atmosphere was great! You know how metal fans are usually depicted as dirty, aggressive, moronic dickheads? It was pretty much the opposite of that. I knew almost nobody there yet everyone was so welcoming and friendly that I immediately felt in my environment. Somebody even picked up my glasses for me when they fell while we were headbanging to death. ;D On top of that, the place looked great and the drinks tasted really good (they have a kickass cocktail of rhum and energy drink, it tastes way better than it sounds). Oh, and I got to see two hot lesbians making out. So on in short, in about one hour, my day went from kinda boring everyday routine to one of the best times of my life.
