I don't see how anyone can hate the 'WHOLE' organization, may be a player or his personal life, but as the saying goes... Any cruddy excuse to post that dog. ;D I hate the entire Yankees organization, and any player who ends up on them. So it's possible.

^and it's not just because they win a lot of championships? I kid, I kid, I don't know much about Baseball. I can see how people can despise organizations and how they're run. Stupid statement from me really, sorry.

Steelers have more bandwagon fans than the Cowboys? Sorry, but that's not right at all. Yeah Dallas does have a ton. Always have and always will. I know a few who ran out and bought there T.O. jerseys when he came in. Then when he left and the trainwreck that was this season alot jumped ship to the new hot teams (Especially the Jets) And hell if it wasn't for most of my mom's side of the family jumping on their bandwagon in the late 60's-early 70's I wouldn't be a Cowboy fan. As for the actually question posed I don't hate the Steelers as an organization but I do dislike a number of their players they currently have.

You ever notice that the Steelers win a lot and people hate winners? Jealous of our 6 Super Bowls, our plethora of Hall of Famers, our Pro Bowl players? Haters are gonna hate. I also love how people think the refs like us, then why do they constantly miss calls and the league apologizes to us? And yes, that happened this year. Fact is, the Steelers win a lot. 6 Super Bowl titles, most wins since 1970, a large amount of hall of famers and an extremely loyal fanbase. Personally, I like being the Yankees of the NFL. Also when the Steel Industry crashed, a lot of Pittsburghers had to leave town. They stayed loyal to their team and passed it on. Hence, why you see Steelers fans everywhere. They got it from their parents/grand parents. I wouldn't consider the Steelers the NFL's version of the Yankees. If anything that's the Cowboys. Even if the Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl in awhile.

Stupid statement from me really, sorry. Part of it is the fact that when I was a kid and finally understanding the game of baseball more clearly the Yankees were winning the World Series in 96, 98, 99, 00...it got old, quick...and plus they were buying every high priced free agent in sight and basically buying success, which as a fan of the underdogs, irked me. They are basically the only sports organization that I actually hate. And though they have some players that I respect and like, I hate them too because they play for the Yankees.

Also you would have to be a blind man or a straight up liar if you deny that the Steelers have not been on reviving end of some pretty lame calls. Heck the refs in Super Bowl XL even came out and admitted as much. As for the Steelers fans being band wagon. I live in Ohio, and most of the Steelers fans that I meet can't name a Steelers starting QB other than Ben, and possibly Terry Bradshaw. Most don't even know who Neil O'Donnell was, and he got the team to a freaking super bowl. Then again I figure most of those "Steeler" fans were "Cowboys" fans during Super Bowl XXX. Not that I can blame the Steelers for their bandwagon fans because that is just a symptom of a team with long term success.

A lot of the time no, since many of them jumped on the band wagon around Super Bowl XL. Then you also have the "fans" who only watch the team when they are doing well so they will be able to name player from the 70s then there is a large gap in the 80s until the early 90s when they can name Kevin Greene, Lloyd, and a few other Steelers during Cowers early years.

Also you would have to be a blind man or a straight up liar if you deny that the Steelers have not been on reviving end of some pretty lame calls. Heck the refs in Super Bowl XL even came out and admitted as much. Sure they have, but you know what? So has every other team in sports. People act like the Steelers are the only team ever to benefit from a bad call. They're not. Every team has, whether it's a bad call or a non-call. Bad calls are a part of sports. But every single time there's a bad call, I'm betting that you can find a half-dozen mistakes made by players that could have very well changed the game the other way. As for the Steelers fans being band wagon. I live in Ohio, and most of the Steelers fans that I meet can't name a Steelers starting QB other than Ben, and possibly Terry Bradshaw. Not that I can blame the Steelers for their bandwagon fans because that is just a symptom of a team with long term success. Maybe it's just me, but I never equated depth of knowledge of team history with bandwagon fans. A non-bandwagon fan is one who cheers for a team regardless of whether they're good or bad, it doesn't mean they spend all their free time memorizing facts about them. I'm a Chief's fan, I cheer for them in every situation, regardless of fantasy football, draft pick consideration, or anything else. I've cheered for them when they were bad and when they were good. But I don't know that many historical players on the team, I have a lot bigger things in my life than memorizing the starting running backs of the 60's. I don't have encyclopedic knowledge or invest a healthy portion of time and happiness in them, but I'll cheer for them no matter what. As long as a person does that, I don't consider them a bandwagon fan.

I'm a Lions fan first but I have no problem with the Steelers. My Dad has been a fan of the team since the late 60s/early 70s so I always kind of pull for them because of him. I can't stand the Bears or Ravens though.

If you are not a band wagon fan then you should be able to name some of the players on the team during their down years. Yet people who claim to be life long Steelers fans can't name players that were on the team as recently as the early 2000s. I'm not asking people to know who Preston Carpenter is but I think that if they claim to be a life long fan and they are my age then they should at least be able to tell me who Merell Hodge and Bubby Brister were.

I had to watch the Montreal feed for a Bruins preseason game, and they had a big thing on the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. I've asked around, and I guess one reason is that Canadiens fans interact with Boston fans so much, they've.....adopted their teams

I like to see the guys from the smaller schools do well. However,he is the only member of the team that I can tolerate.
