I was like that , very much so. Last three years I've had a decent job making $800-$900 a week , however had managed to not save much money from that, I was out partying and blowing money on eating out an buying things I really did not need at all. Also considering my cost of living could have been covered by one check, yet somehow I didnt save much at all. This past August, I quit my job (for reasons i will not get into), losing this decent income. I spent much of the money I had, over the course of a few months- and learned a good lesson, that was about using your'e money properly. I recently had to sell my additional car (you read that right, I had two cars- no real explanation for that AT ALL), so that I have some money to get by for now. I do have a job that I interviewed for last week- that may be starting early next year, it pays around the same as the last job- I am going to save money this time, never have to borrow anything from anyone and really only spend money if I absolutely have to.

Sounds a lot like my mom. Whenever I have some extra cash on me, she'll ask to borrow it at every opportunity she gets and blows it on pain pills and beer. And whenever I try to tell her no and that I'd like to save some money, she guilt trips me, calls me stingy, and generally throws a fit. So, yeah... Wait, your mom asks you for money? That is beyond sad.
