I haven't named a pet after a wrestler, but I have a dog named Casey after Pittsburgh Steeler, Casey Hampton. He's a yorkie, which is why I thought it be funny to name him after a 350 pound nose tackle. I also have a cat named Maz, after Pittsburgh Pirate great Bill Mazeroski.

Not after a wrestler, no.
But my cat (who is living with my mom now) is named Kyo, after the lead vocalist of Dir en grey.

My cat is called Morrison. He was so used with his name, his new owner (I had to put him in adoption due some problems) still kept his name.

Had a cat named Sabu that was crazy and loved to jump off the top of the curtain rod onto the other pets in the house. Figured it was suicidal and homicidal so Sabu fit well. This might be my favorite one of this topic so far. For some reason I think Sabu is a perfect name for a cat.

I lol'd at Sabu (simply brilliant), The Great Collie, Carlton Wisk-ers. Not proud at LOLing at the last two, but I couldn't help it.

Years ago, I went to the pet store and got a hamster for free because he had issues. Basically he had an insane gerth. I remember, in third grade or so I assumed somehow that his spines split and he had two of them. Anyway, I named him Yoko Zuna. He passed away a week or so later after he got stuck in a pipe. I had used a little pipe blocker I had but someone removed it. I still think it was my kid sister who was in kindergarten, but she's constantly denied it.
I have a dog now named Dixie, but she was already named at the SPCA. Still, I guess there's a very slim chance her previous owner was Nathaniel.
However, my pinnacle of animal naming was the first cat I named... Tuna Head. Named off the insult at the end of Maniac Mansion.
Oh, and a friend and I asked another friend what the two kittens at his house were named. He said he didn't think anyone named them yet so we were calling them Hot Pocket and Omwich. Years later, I stopped by and was petting a cat and asked his mom the cat's name and she laughed and said Hot Pocket. Apparently Omwich was adopted and still went by that name. Oddly, I visited him regularly but only one cat of his would go to the basement where we hung out, Billie Jean.
That friend also has a dog named Teal'c from Stargate.

I have dogs named Jumbo Tsuruta (Alaskan Malamute), Kenta, and Shingo (German Shepherds). Everyone I know thinks I'm weird for naming my dogs after Japanese wrestlers. That is just awesome. On a related note, around 2004, when I was renting a town-home, I had an awesome black cat that I named Liger. Additionally, I used to have an iguana named Giant Baba.

Not really but close enough was a male cat named Bruiser like Dick the Bruiser and he grew up to be one of the biggest "alpha" cats I've ever seen.

I have a newly adopted foxhound/beagle mix named Jack. Not for anything particular, I assume, but I've decided to nickname him the Swagger snoring beagle. Expect the T-shirt to sell
