For the first time in ages, I'm proud to be a Knicks fan. Beating up all those losing teams is one thing, but winning against the Nuggets has to be a huge boost to team ego. I'm actually feeling optimistic about Boston and Miami.

I'm surprised that this man is not being mentioned more in early MVP talks:

Spurs move onto 20-3. I'm glad we're doing so well, but I'm trying to be cautious when most of the wins have been against crappy teams.

Tonight's results from the WCBA (World Championship Basketball Association):
Mongo defeated The Steiner Bros. in a super-high-octane back-and-forth contest (New York over Denver 129-125) Bobby Eaton squashed Ric Flair (Philadelphia over New Orleans 88-70) Goldberg went over Glacier (LA Lakers over New Jersey 99-92) Randy Savage squashed Ultimo Dragon (San Antonio over Portland 95-78) Chris Jericho squashed Bret Hart (Oklahoma City over Cleveland 106-77) The Giant beat Disco Inferno (Orlando over LA Clippers 94-85)

I feel like a perpetual motion machine, saying this over and over and over, but beating bad teams, in all sports, particularly by large margins, is a very reliable indicator of long term success.

Did LeBron just scare the s*** out of the Cavs when he went in there and killed them? I mean I know I thought they would barely win 20 before the season started, but they were doing OK early. Since that game they've totally quit.

Since that game they've totally quit. they have the least talent in the league, by a gigantic margin. Their expected W/L record and differential are worst in the league. Before that Miami game, they sort of had a chip on their shoulder. Then they got beat down, on national TV. I don't think that's the reason for their smelly play, though. They just suck. When Mo Williams is the guy that the PA announcer saves for last at home games in an attempt to fire up the crowd, you're in trouble.

True, but some of those games were a little too close, even with bad teams. Heres hoping they keep it up, though.

Since that game they've totally quit. Can ya blame 'em? Hometown hero leaves, then comes back and single-handedly demolishes the team, deflating the hot crowd. You have to imagine that game seriously FIRED UP the crowd and brought them out in droves to see their home team get their revenge and then a HUGE, soul-crushing defeat.

Close games against bad teams are a little worrisome; but if I was a Spurs fan, I'd be thrilled that my team is playing exceptional ball, with a limited impact from Timmy, by increasing the tempo. Pop is the best coach in the league. The Spurs will compete.

Just trying to not get TOO cocky, don't wanna eat those words later. ;D

The Giant beat Disco Inferno (Orlando over LA Clippers 94-85) And Blake Griffin had 27 points and 16 boards for his 12th double-double in a row. You can't stop Blake, just get out of the way. Of course you can stop the rest of the Clippers, with the possible exception of Eric Gordon (the guy is having a good year). Even if the Clippers end with the worst record in the NBA, they're going to have a lot more games on TNT and ESPN next season.

Donald Sterling being a dick? So uncharacteristic of such a kind-hearted soul.

This guy needs to leave if the Clippers ever want to be good.

Nah, I'd prefer you two teams lose 4/5 more games so the Lakers can move back to 1st...that is when they put their act together.

We both have Phoenix separated by just a few days (you guys have them the 17th, we've got the 20th.) They're playing ok...but you guys also have Miami on the 20th, and they seem to have woken up.
