I suppose I could just ask the airline, but I thought I'd check here too. I've never been on a plane, and never flown across time zones obviously. My flight makes a stop in Memphis which is in the Eastern time zone and I'm from the central time zone. According to my tickets my flight leaves Memphis at 8:45 I believe and will arrive at my destination around 11:30. So is that central time or eastern time? It doesn't say on my tickets. Or should I just call the airline?

Generally it's the local time of where you're going, but if we knew where your destination was, that'd make it pretty easy to tell. If it's that important, I'd call the airline though.

If it's a direct flight, then I'd say it's definitely Ohio time. That distance might take you a little more than an hour in the air, not 3 hours (3 hours would be from Memphis to LA, F.ex.)

A flight from Memphis leaving at 8:45 would put you in Ohio around 10:15 or so. So yeah, the time change would mean 11:30 local time.
