I say Alomar, Blyleven and in a surprise, Larkin.
Something tells me it's going to be 3 guys. Can't shake the feeling.

Bold prediction: IF 3 guys get in, the 3rd guy will be Bagwell.

Bold prediction: IF 3 guys get in, the 3rd guy will be Bagwell. I honestly don't think so. Seeing as how impossible it is to get in on the first ballot (Alomar last year), it probably would be Larkin that would get in above Bagwell. Though I do see a lot of players on that list that I'd like to see in the HoF.

I'm hoping for Morris, but it's probably going to be Bagwell and Larkin.

I'm hoping for Morris, but it's probably going to be Bagwell and Larkin. I just could never get behind the Morris love. It seems that every case that is made for him points to a bunch of pointless stats, such as how he started 14-or-so opening day games and was the winningest pitcher of the 80s.

I think it will be Alomar, Blyleven and if there is a third guy it will be Larkin but I think it will be just the two.
Anyone else think that the Hall of Fame announcement is one of the most anti-climatic events in sports? I mean this is the biggest honor in baseball and one of the hardest things to get in all of sports and its a phone call and a press release, then a press conference in the next few days. This should be like a prime time special on either MLB Network or ESPN, a little of spectacle (sp) to go along with it. Bring the top ten finishers have the writer and announcer inductees do little bios of the guys for the first half hour then have either a host or the HOF president announce the results and leave the last fifteen minutes or so for talking to the winners and guys who came close. Something to make it stand out on the calender more than it does now.

Really a shame that Dave Parker didn't get more love. One of the greatest hitters of the late 70's/early 80's. Though, I'm probably bias because he played for the Pirates for a big portion of his career.

I hope someone gave John Olerud a vote. If Tino Martinez & friggin' BJ Surhoff can get a vote, then John should too.

Bagwell will not get in anytime soon just because BBWA voters are taking a wait and see on someone who has never been linked to taking PEDs. Despite having numbers that put him top 5 for his position of all time, he will not get in any time soon because he played in THAT time period. Hell Im starting to doubt if Biggio will even be a 1st ballot in a few years just because he was in that period. Ive already heard annalists that question his credentials.

Larkin's getting in, or at least he should.
And when are they going to put Dave Stewart on the ballot? He was the most dominant pitcher in baseball in the late 80's and early 90's.

I hope Bert Blyleven gets in, and I'm pretty sure Robbie Alomar is a lock. I could see Barry Larkin making it, but my gut feeling is Blyleven and Alomar get in.

Stewart was on the ballot in 2001 and 2002 getting 7.4% and then 4.9% to get dropped off. He was great for those 4 years from 1987-1990 but other than those years he never won 12 games a year, spent a big chunk of his career as a middle reliever and just wasn't good enough long enough.

Yeah but they'll have to take a backseat to Piazza then (since I think Biggio is a first ballot hof'er.)
